If I remember correctly, because of the limited innings last year, he's still classified as a rookie and compete for rookie of the year. Regardless, not only has he made the big team, he has earned the #2 spot, and I think the way things fall, will get to pitch in the home opener. Pretty damn big deal here in St. Louis. Good for him.
Had his first start tonight and went 6.2, giving up 0 runs on only 3 hits and 1 walk with 7 K's.

The way he carries himself on the field is unreal. You'd think he's a 10 year veteran. He's been living off of fastball/change-up. Fell behind 3-0 to a batter and what's he throw? Yepp. Curve ball. Unreal.

So impressive
Young man's future is so bright it's ridiculous.

I have yet to see him pitch in person. Usually my luck is the games I get tickets for end up falling on Kelly's day on the rotation.
Gonna have to get that worked out. He's my pick for rookie of the year this year.

We'll trade you Scott Feldman for Wacha. Don't think about it too hard. Just say yes and we can get everything finalized

You can have Lance Lynn. Guy has a fantastic win/loss record.

I remember watching Wacha out of the pen his freshman year before he got a real start. He was clearly a stud the first time I saw him throw.

Wacha got to pitch the home opener yesterday, which is a HUGE thing here in STL. Have seen many pitchers succumb to the pressures of the home opener. Not Wacha.
Another 6 innings pitched. 1 walk with 3 strikeouts, giving up 1 run, ballooning his ERA to 0.71.
