Felt like he was just trying to save his son from something bad and he was out of options, or at least ideas, to me

No shite that TMZ is "different." I think everyone knows that.

And I really don't believe you know your way around East Texas very well if you think they're "average."

My point was about why Paul might feel more comfortable than the "average" person talking to a stranger and get caught off guard. I didn't say that being prominent people in a small town prepared them for TMZ or ESPN, I suggested it might make them more likely to get caught off guard.

But based on the fact that you cited the "Rose Festival" as the center of "big time socialites," I'm guessing you have a fairly limited perspective. Yes, I'm judging you.

This will all blow over and soon be forgotten. Johnny Manziel is now focusing on football - which is his comfort zone. He will adjust to the new attention and have an incredible year - one game at a time.

Good for you. I lived most of my life in Tyler and still go back quite often. I know my way around the area just fine. Sorry for naming something that would be considered a center of attention type event that many well off people do in Tyler.

And yea I stand by my belief that they are average people for the area. Rich as shite? Sure. But they don't act any different than many of the people I know back there.
