If you look at the last 3-4 years of APR results of both A&M basketball and Maryland basketball, you don't want anything to do with Mark Turgeon.

I will never forgive $bill for that. I used to have firebillbyrne.com.

Kennedy is toast after this year. He just doesn't coach our players to make smart decisions. We frequently dribble ourselves into awful double teams, etc. There's just no reason for a great many of our turnovers. Against Prairie View, that stretch toward the end was just inexcusable. The bad turnovers, shots, etc. make me question what is being taught to these kids.
Further, we just don't seem to run a good system. Like Turgeon, our offense is so motionless. If our boys aren't handling the ball or setting a screen on the ball, they hold their ground. Then, when the ball handler come off a screen, he doesn't come right off it and try to attack, but instead is tentative with the ball. As a consequence, we waste an enormous amount of time piddling around the perimeter. When you have the ball, you need to try to confound /attack the defense so you can get mismatches or find open men. We're incredible bad at that. This was a frequent problem with Turgeon, too.
Taking all that into account, I just don't see us winning many big games. Granted, I haven't watched a lot of A&M ball this year (Rice & PV) but we don't have a dominant player. Caruso can do some good things with the ball, but he's not going off for 40. And the only way this team wins big games is by having individual players going off in a big way. If I had to guess, we miss a post-season tourney for the third year in a row and move on to a new coach.
