Don't post this on the rant. The thread will reach 100 pages just from the Ark-tards alone.

Umm... whut?
Good ad for texags or 12thman. Not so much for the SECN. Non-regs will raise hell about this one, and for once I agree with them.

A better SEC Network commercial would be a "passage of time" commercial going from footage from 100 years ago and jumping forward 10 years repeatedly until you get to 2014.

CGSC Lobotomy for Jason Cook's job. Write-in votes, post here.
That's a damn good suggestion. (Yours, I mean.)

Well, I've got experience, as I had a $50,000 advertising and marketing budget as a recruiting company commander.
Focused more on ROI than I did on "style". We showed our Brigade how we could turn a $2,000 event into 10+ contracts, but they would have rather paid 1/2 million for the Chicago Auto Show and then cooked the books.

With the move to the SEC, the hire of Sumlin and Manziel winning a Heisman, I personally think anyone could have done Cook's job.

Well, to be fair, Cook is doing a great job so far. I'm sure I'd have fricked it up by now, personally.

No. There's just no way. The sales of merchandize, the brand expansion, the growth of A&M coverage, etc. is all the result of the move to the SEC and a Heisman, not his work. Personally, I think maybe even more could have been done, especially during the Manziel summer of 2013.

I have no problem with excess corps shite as long as it gets balanced with some nice Aggie pussy. We have hot women. I want them shown.

Footage from "we've never been licked" - transitions to clips of Bear Bryant and John David Crow - transitions to Stallings beating the bear - transitions to Emory Bellard and the wishbone - transitions to the 1985 t.u. game, the 1986 Cotton Bowl, and the 1988 Cotton Bowl - transitions to the 1990 Holiday Bowl - transitions to the 1998 Big 12 Title Game - transitions to Brian Gamble raising his hands to the sky - transitions to the 2010 Oklahoma game - transitions to clips of Johnny Manziel and the 2012 and 2013 squads - then "Take it all in"
All of this with the Dave South call for each one that we can find.

Not a fan at all. He goes out of his way to say she's the only woman in his life lol.
They could have shown any combination of these in a progression: small group of friends/couple meet at fish camp. Century tree, Kissing after TD, Midnight yell lighters, small reveille cameo appearance, Ring scene, fast forward to a later in life tailgate @ kyle. Then a cheesy quote like Some traditions are bigger than football
Sincerely though, anything that didn't seem like it was co-written by Mr. and Mrs. Reveille would be nice.

Then we need to stop letting all the fatties sit in the front couple of rows of our decks. That's all I ever see on tv, especially down in the corps sections in front of the field cameras. Fatties everywhere.

Going to have to disagree on this. A&M's marketing department went open throttle to campaign for Johnny's heisman. Teo had the whole Notre Dame love fest behind him and a dead girlfriend to boot (wasn't fake til after the ceremony), and he didn't stand a chance.
We also have had a LOT of marketing pushing heavily into Texas and a real coherent brand identity. Yes, cook didn't make Johnny happen or make the SEC move happen, but he led the charge to maximize the brand potential of both. I think his work has been the difference between pulling even with Texas in popularity and actually surpassing them.
It's like people who say "anyone can win at Alabama". There are a lot of advantages, sure. But Bama has had shite coaches too.

Have we done either in the state of Texas? I'm seriously asking.
