Texas A&M averages 44.75 points per game and allows 22.50 points per game.
Against its opponents, the Aggies score an average of 20.55 points per game more than their opponents allow and allow an average of 8.04 points per game less than their opponents score.
Oklahoma averages 40.25 points per game and allows 24.17 points per game.
Against its opponents, the Sooners score an average of 12.45 points per game more than their opponents allow and allow an average of 7.99 points per game less than their opponents score.
Using those metrics:
The Aggies score between 37 and 45 points.
The Sooners score between 32 and 35 points.
This supports my prediction that A&M wins by 10 or less.

I agree its gonna be a shootout and I hope our secondary makes the plays they are gonna be tested

Interesting, but your prediction is flawed because your stats don't take into account the quality of the defenses faced.

I don't like this matchup at all. I have no faith in our secondary, and OU knows our offense as well as any team out there since it's essentially Leach's Tceh offense. Granted, JFF adds a (major) twist to it that they haven't seen, but this is why I didn't want a Cotton Bowl appearance.
Prove me wrong, boys!!

True, but I also don't think that OU has seen a pass rush as good as ours this season. Damontre should be in the backfield alot, and with the way Snyder likes to dial up the blitz, I think we can pressure Landry into making some poor throws and maybe force some turnovers. Should be a fun game

we need to get turnovers from landry, especially in the red zone. what does their D look like?

They've been very shaky as of late:
Against Baylor (11/10)
-allowed 34 points
-allowed 424 yards (172 pass, 252 rush)
Against WVU (11/17)
-allowed 49 points
-allowed 778 yards (320 pass, 458 rush)
Against OK State (11/24)
-Allowed 48 points
-allowed 490 yards (289 pass, 201 rush)
Their run defense looks pretty vulnerable. We should be just fine on offense. As long as we can get some stops, we should win this game

La. Tech and Sonny Dykes know our offense better than anyone not employed by Texas A&M.
The point is that just because you know and understand the offense doesnt mean you can stop it. OU doesnt have the defensive speed or the secondary to slow us down much. I expect a shootout, especially considering the fits running QBs have always given Stoops.
