I prosecuted sexual assault cases. Plenty of em. Was a part of a 498 year sentence in '12.
That being said, it's just not that uncommon for the judge to give probation in these circumstances. There are some, such as rape of a child under 14 y/o (worst cases ..... ever) that the defendant can't get probation at all. This case obviously wasn't one of them.

I hate to tell you this but he's going into PC or Seg as soon as he's booked, he won't sniff the mainline. They can get at him in seg but it's a bitch to do. It'll take some con waiting to pull chain for basically a life sentence in TDCJ to do it because this is a rape case and not a chomo case.

Well most of what those guys sing isn't pop country, I happened to hear that song while I was sitting in my driveway doing my time sheets and it made me laugh as it always does so I thought I'd try and brighten someone else's day.

Maybe I came off as grouchy. The wildfires in eastern Oregon are blowing in to Portland today and I don't have AC, so I woke up to the smell of wildfire smoke and asthma

I love Portland. If I can help it I'm never leaving the Pacific Northwest actually. Beautiful scenery, perfect weather (for me anyway. I love long stretches of cold and rain the way most people love sun), good food, etc. I'm also relatively liberal (pinko commie to Texans) so the politics sit well with me as well. Plus, legal weed. El Nino is making PNW its bitch this Summer though.
