It was borderline at the start of the season, and is now woefully deficient after some injuries. The pen is nonexistent. Early loses his job after the season, but Kelly is also a huge problem

I agree. Missing 4 arms that were being counted on is putting the nails in his coffin here.

I think Colorado said it earlier but it’s 100% his fault that the pitching staff is as bad as it is. It’s his job to recruit and bring in players, obviously the pitching coach contributes to that but Jason Kelly has been a disappointment imo at that role. Earley should’ve canned him after last season but didn’t. He refuses to get Binderup in the lineup who was batting very well, starts Grahovac at lead off even tho he’s been terrible in the spot all season and won’t move partita to the bullpen even tho we need the help and it’s not like he’s been very valuable as a hitter or fielder so far. I get that he’s young and will improve but rn you could really use him on the mound and we haven’t done that. I’m sure Earley will finish out the season regardless

the struggle versus mizzou in front of their 50 fans is on brand. play up to and down to the competition. sure sign of no leadership/identity.

It’s not that we got loose, it’s that Earley didn’t take Sdao out till after he gave up 6 runs. By then, they already had momentum
