2016 v 2017 Thru 4 games

Thought I would share some stats thru 4 games. For reference, 2016 Schedule was UCLA, PVA&M, @Auburn, Arkansas.

2017 Defense
Plays Defended: 285
Yds/Play: 5.82
Turnovers: 11

2016 Defense
Plays Defended: 326
Yds/Play: 4.79
Turnovers: 8

2017 Offense
Plays: 319
Yds/Play: 5.78
Turnovers: 3

2016 Offense
Plays: 306
Yds/Play: 7.13
Turnovers: 6

Takeaways are basically that the pass defense has gotten a bit worse but the run defense hasn't really suffered much. We are taking much better care of the football which has helped our defense stay off the field. As Mond settles in, I think you will see our offense start to fall in line with where we were last year (without the turnovers). I think the best case scenario for the defense is that they continue to get takeaways and stop the run pretty well.
