I wonder if they just want to wait and strategically piece together battle plans later based on what happens with Greg Little after this summer fall before they start offering OT's. Probaly offered Simmons because they liked what he saw and dont figure that he will be able to make it back to Texas unless he declares for an OV.

Kendell Jones shouldn't be top 10 for the same reason Brandon Alexander isn't our starting DE. Looking the part only gets you so far. All the potential in the world, but average film. He's got time to improve and I definitely want him as an Ag, but #3 as of right now is just absurd.

#3 is the guy that when you watch his film you gasp. I don't necessarily agree with 247's #9 rating of Patrick Hudson, but I understood. He's raw but when you watch his film, you do in fact gasp. I watch Jones and think, he looks pretty good. Basically how I felt about watching Hardreck Walker.

Soph in HS Kendell Jones

It's behind a paywall but Hamm just posted we're gonna host the #1 rated player from Louisiana next week. I hope it's that cornerback Fulton, but it could be Edwin Alexander. Stay tuned?

took a look at Chambers tape. He's listed at 6'3" 247 but he looks long armed. Definitely plays bigger* than listed even as a sophomore in HS.

He lacks the burst of a Garrett or Cunningham but he's very nimble for a guy his size. He's tough to block. Seems like a guy that will play at like 6'4-5" 270-280 in college. Definitely an elite prospect and I think SDE is his future.

We've done pretty well recruiting the DL but we haven't had a guy like this in the group. He'd be a very nice pickup.

* ETA: I just looked up his NFTC results and he checked in at 6'4" 238
