LSU just landed Lawrence. Its their 3rd DT. Hopefully that improves our chances with Christmas Giles.

Unfortunately, one would have to think so.

The staff seems determined to land another TE. Given our past preference to play in 4 WR/1 RB or 3 WR/2 RB personnel packages, Mazzone seems to want to show some different looks on offense. Otherwise, there really is no point in even recruiting another receiving TE.

Doesn't Kingsbury incorporate Receiving TEs split out wide? (or in the slot?) I feel like an athletic, big TE could dominate in that kind of offense.

Everyone was excited about DC because he had so much success with wide out TEs at Mizzou. Noel Just had a 2nd team all american TE at UCLA (small receiving type). I would assume it is a position A&M will focus on. 2 would be nice. I wish Irv was still committed.

Allen's departure had to do with two things: One, he was aware Spav wasn't gonna be back and he was really close to him and two, he felt like Sumlin threw him under the bus by telling everyone his poor play wasn't due to injury when it was. He just didn't trust him anymore.

Nice offer list, anyone know his interest in us?

Is there some connection there?

LSU's bagmen are hit by oil just as hard as ours, right? No excuse not to keep up.

This is the type of weekend where you are extremely glad your daughters aren't hostess's or dance team members

Sounds like you should be more worried about Texas' bagmen taking back the state

If you just leave it at the curb and the recruit just happens to be in your area and come by your house and see it and pick it up off the curb....it's not a violation, right?

I know little about Moss. I'm guessing he is more of a receiving than a blocking TE, just like Davis.

You could argue that Seals-Jones is a receiving TE who helps out as a down field blocker. Maybe Moss is viewed as that kind of player by the staff.

I watched a little of his HS film. He lined up in the back-field as a FB multiple times. He can definitely "high-point" the ball, but I don't think I would lable him as a "receiving" TE. We have one of those on the roster already in Jordan Davis.

Little too early to be worrying about the sips, everyone thought they had momentum down the stretch last year

And Sumlin wound up kicking the shite out of Strong winning 14 of 16 head to head battles

I'm not saying they might not improve their pathetic class greatly but let's wait for the dust to settle

They're out there buying guys $60,000 trucks. They've stepped their game up a lot since last year. The boosters got the memo that they need to stock the cupboard for the NEXT coach. I wish ours had the same mentality.
