60% CB LSU. Freshly offered last week, but clearly their top choice.

“If Johnny (Manziel) would've played in the Pac-12, the Big 12, the Big Ten — not that those aren't good conferences — (people) might have questioned whether he could do that in the NFL,” Murray said of A&M's 2012 Heisman Trophy winner from Kerrville Tivy. “But it's such a great league — it's the NFL of college.”
that's gonna leave a mark

It's definitely a weird rule. I know Anthony Alford, a safety for Ole Miss, is doing that

Texas recruit trying to slow down the dominos.

Don't commit to a school just because one big name did.. Go to a school that fits YOU !

Dude needs to relax. There will still be plenty of talent left after A&M takes their pick for the sips to fight over with Baylor, OU, and Tech for.

if you want a good laugh...the latest predictions are random guys jumping on to get free points. I really like the idea behind the crystal ball thing but it's actual use is a joke

Thread title: "Aggs winning recruits really grinds my gears"
quote:
So I was really hoping Kyler Murray chose Oregon, I knew in my heart it wasn't going to happen. But, to add insult to injury D. Lodge is most likely going to choose the aggs on July 1 as well as Siverand in the upcoming weeks. That is a pretty loaded class, with potential to grab Malik and Sheffield, needless to say its really frustrating. Now I know Kids flip and flop all the time in recruiting, but I cant stand the fact these top recruits are putting the Texas agriculture and who gives a crap school ahead of Texas, It must be this common core there teaching them. Anyways, just venting my frustration cause I live in Arkansas, and they are too busy freaking out over the 3 and 9 season they are about to have.
quote:
Frustration is warranted. But Strong is a smarter coach, IMO. Even without the best possible talent, he will form outstanding players. Just gotta hope that the talent going to Aggy isn't developed quite as well. Kyler will bring some offensive recruits with him I'm sure, but I think it was somebody else on this board yesterday that pointed out that even with all the best offensive skill positions in the nation, they still aren't addressing any needs. That said, we'll see what happens with Malik and Sheffield.

A&M has things to sell such as a Heisman, 1st round draft picks, playing in the SEC, beating BAMA and other things. It's hard for us to really hold our own against A&M when they can sell on the field results and we can't.

LSU has to take their few Texas recruits they get each year first too

Z - Lodge
Y - Siverand
H - Kirk
X - Chigbu
I actually think Chigbu and Lodge could be flipped but that's my initial go at it. Someone asked about Dillon a bit back and I think he would be an H which is why he's not really impacting Siverand (if Kirk went elsewhere we'd probably make a strong push for him). I think Tyron Johnson probably would be a Y. Maybe that Cali kid too. I haven't looked at his film.
Anyway, I'm not really sure what the situation with Siverand was and why we slowed him down a bit. I can't really think of a reasonable option at Y. I suppose we just considered passing on it. As I said way way back in the thread, the closest comp to him is probably Jarvis Landry. Obviously we have to hope he turns out that good, but that's him stylistically as well as size wise.
At Nike combine Kimah:
6'0" 183
4.58 40
4.28 shuttle
37.1 vertical
Y - Siverand
H - Kirk
X - Chigbu

Me too. I'm almost immune to it by now, tbh. But after the Murray effect takes place, I think he'll be content until the fall at least.
