You could make a solid troll thread out of any " if you were a recruit from x would you choose y school or z school". The Mississippi one would be an absolute shitshow

That's where we are now. Kids now fricking wait on us and string the sips along. Not the other way around

I have to be honest, from the early 2000s til Sumlin, it rustled the hell out of my jimmies to see us spend tons of time recruiting a kid only to have Mack Brown flash a yellow smile and poof, committed

So glad we're finally back to where we should be

egg bowl threads are the best threads by far. ive been saying that for a while

some more melt from today

Let us be calm. It's early and Heard, Charles and Gentry are just now locking in to their combined recruitment status, and are going to really start working on the others, the good ones, to come ride on the train, instead of it riding on you.
Just because you are, let us say, further south (ag = hell), and are offered ice water, it looks good. But when you think further, you see that the good stuff is in Austin, and you would wind up drinking agricultural runoff in a dog bowl down there at Collie Nation in the long run, anyway...if you could manage to stay out of the local, cross-bar dog-pound., that is.

Honestly, if a kid is that stupid, I really don't even want him.....move on to Hill and Sheffield......Bye

I realize it was a troll thread, but it still rustled my jimmies more than almost any thread on the Rant ever has

It's something I didn't expect when we joined the SEC but I fricking love. It's a great rivalry IRL too that I knew very little about a few years ago

got time to go read the shag because I want to enjoy this good meltdown but figured I'd post this here LINK

so 16 of 27 five stars got drafted. The sips skewed that a lot by going 0 for 4.

oh and I found this interesting....

It's not much, but according to IT (specifically Eric Nahlin's Twitter):
CB Roney Elam has A&M on top, Texas and LSU tied after that.
CB Holton Hill has Texas on top (presumably A&M is No. 2).

well good to hear. I think we'll see Boyd commit soon and we'll probably then tell Hill/Elam/Lewis/Mbanasor that we're only taking one more so if someone else jumps on board, we're sorry but that's the way it goes. If we are in fact leading for Elam, he may well jump on it over the summer.

Giving us:
Nickel - DCS
CB - Boyd
CB/S - Elam
JUCO S - Evans
S - Pryor
S/OLB - Dunning

and an open spot reserved for Sheffield

so I saw an update on south centrals 247 board, its also on ours (a&ms), that we are in malik lovettes top 3. says we are recruiting him as a slot receiver. we (UCLA) offered him as a DB and that didn't work out so much. his top 3 are us, ND, and SC in no order. but if I had to guess, it probably goes SC, ND, us

I must be super late, but I'm so pumped Boyd got an offer. He's a flat out ATH with decent size in the secondary. Hope he's still high on us.
