This is getting ridiculous. If he's fired then f#cking fire the guy. In what world does it make sense to have him continue to coach this team? I now have zero faith that this administration/boosters have an ounce of competency in them and all this Gruden hype has to be complete BS.

Trying to think... How was the Fulmer situation handled? Did yall have different ADs back then?

Butch should've been fired after he lost to Vanderbilt last year.

Fulmer was notified he would not be retained on Nov 2nd. Our current AD, Currie, was on staff.

Per sources, Fulmer has been pressuring Currie to give Lyle his fair shot, which could explain why he is still here.

All kidding aside, I wish the Vols the best of luck in the search for a new coach. I'm not one who thinks your better days are behind you, or the latest silly comparison between the Vols and Nebraska.

Tennessee has some good homegrown talent. Mizzou knows this because we have some of that talent on our team. Plus Tennessee is surrounded by top notch SEC talent which has been proven the Vols can recruit and get it's fair share. Nebraska is stuck in the middle of no where and the partial qualifier days are over with. The Vols just need a competent HC to turn the ship back around.

Ha! I posted this two weeks ago and it’s depressing it’s still applicable today.

Personally I don't believe they take a single word fulmer says seriously, I think they just keep him around to help with the admins popularity among the fanbase
