28-29 minute mark is the first forced fumble from Dontavius Sapp.

100% strip, that was something these coaches are teaching these guys to do on every play. Do doubt in my mind a turn over that wouldn't have happened under Dooley

52 minutes in where Worley throws the INT but it's called back for an offsides.

The offensive line never got off the field or even left their stance with the INT being thrown once they saw the WKU dlinemen jump. Really impressed at how disciplined that was

That was pretty awesome. It's so nice to have discipline anywhere, let alone everywhere. Two penalties for 17 yards through two games is outstanding.

2 through 2 games is more then solid

I'm just going into the half, and I'm pretty impressed with this DL especially with 2 big play makers out. Once they're healthy that's a good rotation to be able to go into. I think they've got 1-2 sacks so far and were about a 1/10th of a second away from picking up 2-3 more. J Williams looks hungry

Tackling over all is much better, one of our CBs gave up about 20 off a little hook route down the side from a missed tackle but other then that it looks ok.

The coverage looks pretty busted at times though

Another refreshing aspect of the game was that halftime adjustments were made. And were successful.

Just to echo what you just said, here are the stats going into half time:

Rushing Yards: WKU- 82 / UT- 49
Passing Yards: Wku- 154 / UT- 35
Total Yards: WKU- 236 / UT- 84
Turnovers: WKU- 6 / UT- 0
Points off TO: WKU- 0 / UT- 31

& To UTs Defenses credit: Everyone of those turn overs was earned/forced other then the deflection off the guys helmet. That offense didn't have a lot of field to work with but Worley has to do a better job of leading the WRs, and they've gotta do a better job of helping Worley too. That deep ball to Croom that he dropped made me cringe

Thanks for posting. I was balls deep in some sloot so I missed the game and only had highlights.

Got the herpes to prove it.

I caught the 2nd half on FSS last night. Nice to see the RB's finding some cutback lanes. Worley also didn't look as bad as i remembered in the 2nd half other than the errant throw that got picked on the goal line. Made some good throws to Josh Smith and Johnathan Johnson (barring the underthrown deep ball on the 1st TD drive of the half).

We've gotta do a 180 on stopping the 3rd down plays.

They had a bunch of 3rd and 10+ that they converted on. They're 7/11 on 3rd downs with 9:30 minutes in the 3rd quarter.

And on the flip side I think we're 0/5 on 3rd downs to this point.

After the rewatch, I thought Worley played pretty well. Obviously there were a couple of bad decisions but he also had like 3 perfect deep balls that were dropped. A couple of deep-in's and other passes in the second half were bullets right on target.

I would like for him to keep some of those read option runs since defenses are definitely not respecting him as a runner. I see him doing that more @ Oregon and UF.

He had a few bullets to Smith in or right outside the red zone that looked really good

It's hard to rack up yards when you're starting drives on WKU's 20

They moved the ball at will in the 2nd quarter and scored 2 TD. If that continued in the second half we'd be in a big trouble.

But UT flat out destroyed them in the second half. UT put up 300+ yards in second half while they put up like 50 yards. Nice second half adjustment by Butch. Dooley's second half adjustments were the worst I've ever seen.

How did you see them when they didn't exist?

Watched the short version, only offensive and defensive plays.

Offense: didn't look too bad. Worley didn't look as bad as I thought he would after reading the game thread. O line is opening up pretty decent holes and the backs are sometimes hitting them hard. Receivers and QB need to get on the same page, obviously.

Defense: play way better than last year. Swarm to the ball but still try to arm tackle too much. Saw some decent push from the d line. Need to stop giving up 3rd and longs, that shite really irks me.

Edit: this defense will get torched a few times this year, but like seeing them play hard. Very thin as we all know. I think the offense has potential to be pretty decent if they can start working in some more wrinkles to players like pig Howard.

pig Howard

Needs 10+ touches a game in conference play in my opinion. Has really good burst.
