Transfer rumors?

I've seen a few rumors where people are saying Hurd is transferring or that even Kamara is going pro. I think these rumors have originated on some other boards. Does FeelsLike98.VolsBitch, or 3rdandChavis still exist?

It wouldn't make any sense at all, for Hurd to transfer. I suppose Kamara could go pro, but he likely wouldn't be drafted until the 6th or 7th round, if at all.

A close friend of mine got a text about this last week from a local HS coach (Knoxville HS District) who is some what connected at UT. Apparently Hurds dad was/is unhappy with how Jalen was utilized in the offense this year. They felt like the lack of a full back or lead blocker on many of the run plays we were running this year hurt Jalen's chance for more production and national notoriety. They feel like he can be every bit as good as Derek Henry in the right offense and that he is being mis used in this scheme. From the text, it sounds like Hurd and his dad set up a meeting to speak with Butch and the staff to air everything out.
I'm sitting here scratching my head thinking to myself, you knew what this offense was going to be when you committed to Tennessee. Butch has ran the spread at each of his stops, tweaking it here and there depending on the strengths of the QB. Why is this an issue now? Hurd just rushed for over 1k yards and has plenty more to add when factoring in all purpose yards. Between Kamara and Hurd they put up something like 2200 yards in their first year together behind a patch work OL. I'd say that's pretty successful.
FWIW though, Kamara just recently stated how excited he is for him and Hurd to be returning next year and what they plan to accomplish. In the end, I don't think either of them transfer or go pro, but it does sound like they've voiced how they feel.

Yeah, I heard the same but it doesn't make sense to me either. He is on pace to set many records here. If anything, he is showcasing all his tools in this offense or at least enough that none of this will hurt his draft stock. He is an NFL player without a doubt.
I think most of this is just sensationalized message board stuff.

That's what I think too but FeelsLike98 twitter or whatever "source" seems pretty adamant about some "big transfers". Kamara redshirted his frosh year, then JUCO and then this past year at Tennessee. He is draft eligible this year if he wants to come out. This is where I think there is fine line with what's going with the program and then hearing rumors over every single disagreement that happens that gets blown out of proportion.

Kamara going pro is one thing (although I think he's smart enough to realize that he needs another year of development in college) but Hurd transferring from UT is just dumb. I would assume that he'd declare for the draft after next year anyway, transferring and sitting out a year just puts him behind schedule. Don't believe that he will for a second.

That rumor about the offense came up before thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving Hurd's mom squelched it directly.

That's what I relayed to him upon seeing the text. I showed him the thread on VQ where Mrs. Smotherman (?) shot the rumor down. It sounds like it's BS.
He went on to say a few more things about other players we haven't brought up transferring out. Due to the down vote on the last post, I'll wait and see if this is brought up at all with the VQ staff prior to posting

If it were one of our WRs, I might see how they would want to transfer, but Hurd is way too invested in the program. Kid bleeds orange.
