I know he hasn't been a HC yet but he's been a shooting star. AND despite the rednecks not getting it, he loves UT. He camped out at UTK when he was first starting hoping to get a job but it never came. A HC job would lure him back, imo. He's going to get one eventually and it might as well be us. He understands UT more than anyone and is a fantastic recruiter and respected playcaller. In a lot of ways he's the chocolate version of Fulmer in that he's going to get a HC role, is considered a fantastic OC, and is a UT man.

Let's do this thing. UT has ONLY seen success under UT men -- even though Neyland wasn't a grad he was UT through and through.

For an HC job, he'd be here in a heartbeat. Plus his 'kid'/new wife vs older kid problems are gone. He's at Clemson now.

And let's be real. No one aside from UT would give him a premier job as a HC his first go around. Hell yeah, he'd be interested.

He smells the destruction Tee would bring with him. What he has on his side is that our admin isn't smart.

No doubt. Tee would wreak havoc even as a young coach. If we were patient he'd become what we want. Can we be patient enough though? I think Fulmer would go all out helping him with whatever hires he wanted to make and hate him or love him Fulmer has major sway/respect in the coaching world.

A true VFL would get plenty of patience from the fanbase imo, but it wouldnt take long to whip this team into shape. There is a lot more talent on this roster than in 2013, enough to feasibly win the division. Couple that with Tee being a recruiting God, he'd have us humming in no time

I think so too. Fulmer would be in his corner as would Majors and both would be upfront about it. A little patience and he'd have us rolling, imo. It's Tee Time, imo. frick any doubters or haters. We have the talent and Tee has the passion. He could easily regain even the redneck doubters and wouldn't say stupid arse shite in pressers.

He's our man. Currie needs to go balls to the walls after him IMNSHO.

Tennessee can and should do much better than Tee Martin imo.

Tee's proven himself while our Admin has proven they won't hire better. In all seriousness, who do you suggest that's a legit possibility AND hireable by our AD?

I think we do no more than CBJ with a different haircut at best. Tee might change things tho.

He has proven himself as a great recruiter but has never been a head coach at any level and is a very questionable play caller imo.

I would prefer Brohm if we are going the unproven route.

I believe Gruden and Kelly are both attainable though tbh.

What is the likelihood of Chip leading VOLS thru the T next annum? Is he a pipe dream or are there legs to this?

I need you to chart the path VF30

I don't even know how I would react if VOLS actually did land Gruden after all this

It's a complete pipe-dream. Gruden isn't coaching and even if he did he's been gone so long he'd probably suck. It's great to fantasize and he promotes it but it ain't happening. Kelly is a no-go as well.

I'd take both but let's be real. This is like Texas thinking Saban is coming. I don't doubt some legit folks believe it possible but it's delusional.

That said, I'll eat crow with a smile if it happens. Just don't believe for a fraction of a second either are possibilities.

Chip Kelly wants to coach again badly and is unemployed right now. Unless USC opens up or something I don't think there is anywhere he is holding out for.

Will go to a Nike school.

Gruden is much more unlikely than Kelly imo.

I honestly do think Gruden could get done but obviously it is a long shot at this point.

I would be shocked if he doesn't coach again.

What would it take iyo? 6m/ year? Could Currie raise the support to make an investment of this size?
