Talent drain

Just a brief illustration of the talent drain...players we would have (in my opinion) gotten 15-20 years ago.

Trevor Lawrence - Born in East Tennessee...he and both parents are huge UT fans. Chose #16 because of his childhood idol. Starting this weekend as a True Freshman QB for #3 Clemson. So far is 39-60 for 600 yards and 9 tds (with 2 ints). Was told by Butch Jones that his playing style wasn't the right fit for UT's offense.

Tee Higgins - Oak Ridge receiver. After 1.33 seasons, 26 catches for 544 yards and 4 tds for #3 Clemson. Started as True Freshman.

Amari Rogers - Knox Catholic receiver - After 1.33 seasons, 36 catches for 314 yards and 1 td for #3 Clemson. Played in all but 2 games as True Freshman.

Cade Mayes - Knox Catholic OL - Starting as OG as True Freshman this weekend for #2 Georgia.

Somehow, we have to make it cool to stay at home and play for UT. Jones actually did a good job of this in 2014 (but many of the players left before their eligibility ran out). I am believing that Pruitt will have better long-term success at it...at least I hope so.
