Dana Holgorsen

He can go take a flying frick with that bullshite offense. His defenses are almost always a different incarnation of '12 TN.

I see this going two ways.

1. We pull a Bama, the big donors pony up, and we lure Gruden in with a huge contract with enough money that if it doesn't work, we're fricked.

2. We go the route of recent hires, and take a risky and cheap hire. I'm guessing Willie Taggart.

I see UT going this route. Maybe not Gruden but someone big. I think Hart and the Administration at UT know they really don't have an option. Ultimately it comes down to how much money guys like Haslam are willing to throw at a coach.

Obviously Gruden would be my first call if I was AD.

When Gruden says no, I would be contacting the agents of these coaches:

1)Fitzgereld
2)Patterson
3)Strong

If all three say no:

1)Petrino-honestly he would win big at Tennessee, but could be a problem recruiting.
2)Holgerson
3)Bielema-Sorry if spelled wrong
4)Tressel-From what I understand he can coach but just has to sit out five games and also cannot recruit in that same time frame.

If all those guys say no:
1)Fedora
2)Dykes
3)were fricked

He's never had to recruit outside the state of Texas heavily.

He's got some good wins, but his overall record is pretty slanted due to a favorable conference schedule year in and year out.

He'll probably pick up and go once Snyder retires @ KSU.

I'm not totally averse to him donning the T, but he wouldn't be at the top of my list.

I should have clarified, " God I hope he goes Orange was pertaining to the list someone mentioned above.

Compared to Strong, Smart, Petrino, and some of the others mentioned I think Patterson looks to be the best.

Overall 115–34
Bowls 7–4

Regardless of what division you coach in, those aren't bad numbers.

Definitely. And you're right, 115-34 is one hell of a record no matter where you're coaching.

I keep reading from some Knoxville media guys they seem to think Al Golden would listen and would be a HR hire....

....I know Golden is a defense guy and did great things at Temple as HC, but have not been impressed with what he has done at Tha U so I'm not so sure how this would be a HR hire? Can someone explain to me why this would be a HR hire?
