The only thing I saw was that an insider source said it'd be a stretch if he was here in the Fall. I think Lawless was quoted as saying that he has no idea what's the holdup. So essentially - no - I have zero clue.

He went to private school though, grades usually aren’t the problem there

The ACT score maybe. VQ seems confident it is grades and the coaches want him. They are also confident he won't make it in and it won't be until August if he does.

At that point you'd think hed probably look elsewhere right? That would put him so far behind.

He's saying he has "no clue" because he's embarrassed that the problem is his grades. I know that I wouldn't want to admit that I fricked up on my school work or tests and therefore, won't get into college...

If it's an ACT score that can be fixed/retaken but it would be on the ACT's schedule AND he'd have to put a lot of work into getting a minimum score he needs. For eligibility they tend to use a combo of grades/scoring so theoretically a high ACT can help bad grades (one guy might only need a 19 while another might need a 23) and high grades can help a low ACT.

Depending on his issue and what score he needs to make up for it, retaking the test can help him but the timeline would be late.

It would be a major miracle if Lawless enrolls at UT in the fall. He's not been doing the workouts and is really, really lazy. Also, has an older girlfriend who is a bad influence on him. He doesn't want it and may not even want to play football any longer.
