If Hitler had stopped with occupying Austria, crushing Poland and destroying the French, whatever he left would STILL dominate Europe and he would be perceived as the greatest nation builder since Alexander the Great.

But because his dream was the Drang Nacht Osten - the urge to the East - he attacked the Soviet Union with the wounded Great Britain still full of their famous fight, and - the day after his final assault on Moscow was driven off by the Red Army and General Winter - HE DECLARED WAR ON THE UNITED STATES.

This is so false, he had no choice but to attack the soviets because they were getting ready to invade Europe!
The American Goverment was itching to declare war on Germany since 1933, their opportunity came when Japan fell for their provocations and attacked Pearl Harbor, Hitler had no choice but to side with his partner Japan.
History as most know it today, is nothing but propaganda and lies.

Sorry for the the segue guys.
Any reputable source on WWII will tell you that Stalin was TOTALLY STUNNED that Hitler bore him ill-will.
Stalin believed that based on the 1939 non-aggression pact signed by the USSR and Germany that he had several years to build up the Soviet Armies.
How did Walt find that!

Japan attacked us, they were an ally of Germany, we declared war on them, then in turn all of the Axis powers(all of Germany's allies including Germany) declared war on us, then we in turn declared war on all of them.

When Hitler heard about the attack on Pearl Harbor he clapped his hands in glee and told his staff that Japan had never lost a war in 2,500 years.
He did initiate war against the United States based on his intuition.
