Compatible teams at this point in the season
Nico vs NCST
16/23 211 9.2 per 2 TDs 2 Int
8 for 65 1 TD
Joey vs Syracuse
16/28 248 8.8 per 3 TDs no Int
6 for 35 0 TD 1 Fumble
I would have been very happy if Nico put up Joey numbers in this game. Joey was decisive, accurate, on time.
It’s early but Joey passed the 1st test.

Joey looked pretty damn good yesterday. Might be a blessing that he left

Brooks from The Film guy network does Film study of Aguilar vs Syracuse
He breaks down Aguilar's game film and discusses how this years offense has evolved with some new wrinkles and formations. He highlights Joey's decision making and being able to efficiently process through his reads and finding his 2nd or 3rd option when he has to. Which was something Nico couldn't do last season and limited the offense. He's really high on JA and explains why in the film review. Thinks Aguilar allows the staff to design the offense to be a lot closer to what we ran with Hooker than what we ran with Nico/Milton. It's a good watch and worth the 20 minutes.
I was impressed. He had a couple bad passes, but overall he played a lot better than I expected.

Here's another game review from a big Alabama homer, Kangaroo Black. He's very complimentary of Aguilar and has a lot of the same thoughts as the video above. Heupel might have gotten himself a QB

PFF reviews the game: LINK
Notes/Highlights:
- PFF grades Tennessee's offensive performance as an 85.2. The highest grade going back to 2016.
- Very impressed with Aguilar and how he opens up the offense.
-Loves the 3 headed rushing attack with Bishop, Lewis and Thomas. Hinted at it being one of if not the most complete RB rooms in the conference.
-Highlights that Tennessee replaced SEC Offensive POY Dylan Sampson at RB, starting QB, 4 starters along the OL, our Top 3 wide receivers and still managed to look better than at any point last season.
-Very high on Josh Heupel & thinks Tennessee gets back to running an explosive offense like we were under Hooker (A reoccurring theme among all of the videos that have been linked in this thread)

We dodged a bullet not giving in to Nico. He looked like shite again last night against an average UNLV team. He only put up good numbers after UNLV had a sizable lead and starting playing deep zone and prevent type defenses.
His longest pass completion of the season is 21 yards. He’s been sacked 6 times, still looks indecisive and has been responsible for 4 turnovers. It’s also telling to that program that he is the leading rusher right now.

That tipped pass he threw for an interception to ice the game was about as on brand as anything I've seen him do
