I think if we go positive in the turnover margin then we have a pretty good chance to win. The offense has produced against Florida, VT, and aTm. All good to elite defenses. Alabama's skill position players are no better than aTm. Unfortunately, to say our defense is being held together with duct tape and bandages is an understatement. This could be the game that we finally collapse on ourselves, but with how hard this team plays I won't say that.

Anyone know how the injury report is looking? Can Kirkland go? If so then I would slide him over and keep Jumper in the middle.

What are your predictions and what would be an acceptable outcome?

They only thing that gives me some hope is that Ole Miss was able to put up points against them, and we run a similar scheme with more run less pass.

We have to win the turnover battle to even have a chance

We HAVE to get turnovers and we need great special teams play. Like a kickoff return or punt return. I don't think our depleted defense will be able to stop them much, if I'm honest. Our offense has to stay on the field to give them some rest.

I think we keep it close, but Bama wins.

Vols - 24
Bama - 31

God help us if Elliot Berry and Jumper are our two starters and O'Brien can't go.

35-24 Bama.. Just too many injuries and we can't hold onto the ball

Their pass rush off the edge will be effective and we have nobody to cover Ridley. And they have a mobile QB.

I expect VOLS to play hard, but it will be tough considering who we will have on the field. I think the offense moves the ball some and will score...just hope it is enough.

Line is at Bama -13... quite frankly with this team, that seems like easy cash betting on us. We're too tough of a team to get blown out by much of anyone, especially at home. But winning? That's another story.

Jalen Hurts has got to have a bad game sometime. I mean, he's a true freshman and it HAS TO HAPPEN EVENTUALLY. No offense to Ole Miss and Arkansas's neat little stadiums but Hurts has never been in a hostile environment like Alabama will encounter in Neyland.

I think they wear us down.

Has Hurts had any Eason-like lapses? Maybe he is due for some.

27-24 Bama

If we somehow win my celebration will include strippers, Kakaine, and possibly burning down my own house with a flamethrower Project X style

Truth be told, Bama has only played one good opponent, and they nearly lost. USC sucks. A&M beat Arky by 3 scores, just as Bama did. Tennessee is Bama's 2nd true test. I expect us to show up and smack them in the mouth early. That Bama secondary is liable for a pick6 at any moment, but they also give up a shitton of passing yards. Dobbs needs to be on his A-game, and the DL needs to hit Hurts early and often. I feel good about our chances.

I'm going into it with a positive attitude but with zero expectations. This game really could go in any direction.

I am, too. Feel really good about our offense and how hard our defense has played.

Our secondary scares the shite out of me. I can almost guarantee Kiffin scripts a perfect first and second series.
