I wouldn't be shocked if Lane hasn't actually made a decision yet.

I was listening to a show this morning and they stated it like, it looks like Lane Kiffin is going to be LSU's next coach. Fwiw, I'm in Colorado and that's what people are talking about up here.

Personally, I think it's a lock.
It will be an exciting hire for sure. I know I would have been excited if he was coming to Bama but my concern for him (beyond the obvious - in/out bs) is his desire or not to bring in the right people to build a championship level defense. Otherwise, this should be a shot of adrenaline to LSU.
