It's like you've never a civil case progression.
Let's say it goes how you think it's going to go in your head.
The judge says "mean ol SEC you lose" and "good boy LSU you win"
The next day the SEC files an appeal. Or a case on separate tort.
Now LSU is in the exact same place. They either burn their bridges with the conference or do exactly what they did yesterday.
This goes on for awhile, regardless of outcome. It's late October/early November.
