It’d be rare for DVT to be life threatening ONCE it’s discovered…..and you’d think it was found almost immediately and blood thinners started. Hopefully that’s why it has “moved”….because it has or is breaking up. Modern blood thinners are pretty miraculous. They do require anyone taking them to avoid risky activity that may cause bleeding for obvious reasons….if you get even a minor cut it won’t coagulate like it would normally and you could be in real trouble. Hopefully it hasn’t moved but can’t be found because the blood thinners worked. I don’t know how long after coming off blood thinners he could return BUT some of them are so miraculous patients can stop taking them 12 hours before major surgery. I suspect with an expensive athlete the err on the side of caution and avoid risky activity like getting hit by NFL linebackers 4-6 weeks or so. Hopefully that too is the case. He should be fine by what, December?
