We've got a much better chance of going 7-5 imo.

Williams, McKenzie, Gibson+a wild card. With all the other high quality guys they're in on I think somebody could get bumped or they could land somebody who it doesn't look like they'll get right now. With all the elite guys they're in on you have to think one will come from somewhere.
That's my thinking as well. I wasn't sure if you had a 4th 5* in mind or what. I think if Richmond continues to look like a beast this summer and plays like he should this fall, he'll be in a good spot for a 5* bump. He's borderline right now.

Average ranking??? Anyone can finish in the top 10 when you take 30+ players

Ole miss has a higher average star rating. .....

Tennessee's average star ranking was brought down by the bottom 10-12 in the class.
Tennessee's top 20 guys had an average star ranking higher than UGA's top 20.

UGA 3 5*, 10 4*, 7 3* in top 20. (they only signed 21): 3.8 average
UT 15 4*, 5 3* in top 20 = 3.75.
I jut went by 247 composite ratings.

247Composite ranks on a 1-100 scale.
Tennessee's top 20 average was 91.769
UGA's top 20 average was 91.344
Very close, but does dispel the notion that Tennessee just loaded up on numbers. Our top 20 had as much quality, if not more, than anyone in the east. The back end of the class is mainly just depth (which we also need with our numbers).

Hahaha, but, but, but UTs class was highly ranked due to numbers.

Only Rivals account for the top 20. 247 Composite accounts for an entire class. If we want to use a subjective number like 20 players for 247, then make it known before Fat Phil creates another ‘hey look at us thread, we suck on the field but we’re offseason recruiting badasses.’ We had this discussion for months after signing day and didn’t make any progress.
Officially, UT finished 4th in the East last year. I expect them to finish 3rd this year which is improvement.

Translation: Avg numbers on top 20 suggests that UT signed higher quality (most 4* in the nation) class than UGA. UT also signed more players so depth and quantity is superior as well.
Quality AND Quantity = Win

Getting way too excited and queer for recruiting is what fans of crappy teams do. It's sad when it gets to the point when recruiting is the only successful thing about your program
Like Georgia fans in the 90s. Tennessee is the new 90s Georgia. Except for the fact that Georgia never went 6 straight years back then outside of the top 25.

UGA hasn't done anything worth a damn since Jimmy Carter.

UT is rebuilding. Recruiting is all any of us have until practice starts. Don't be so upset over something so small. Everything will be OK.
