The ones that aren't delusional anyway: Bill Sikes replying to a pumper named Jason Higdon

quote:

63.2% of the 5-stars UF signed since 2002 have made Post-season AP All-SEC teams. For 4-stars, it's 16.3%. For 3-stars it's 3.8%. My eyes can't ignore that.

quote:

I'm glad you asked. Haven't broken down 2018, but in 2017 (when only 10 5-stars went rd 1), 5-stars were over 3 x more likely to be drafted (overall )than a 4-star, 200 x more likely than 3s, and 3600 x more likely than 2s and under. 72% of 5s were drafted, 23% of 4s, 4% of 3s.

quote:

Of Mullen's signees at MSU, 100% of his 5-stars (1/1) were drafted. 19% of his 4-stars (7/37), 6% of his 3-stars (11/178), and 8% of his 2-stars (1/12). No surprises here...

quote:

Of Mullen's MSU NFL draft picks, the overall avg round selected was 4.1. For 5-stars it was 2.0, for 4-stars it was 3.8, for 3-stars it was 4.7, and for 2-stars it was 4.5. So consistent with other data-sets I've pulled, higher star bands are drafted higher and more often.

quote:

While there's an prevalent view that Mullen depended on lower-rated talent, this suggests that his ability to develop NFL players at least partially correlated to their recruiting profile ratings.

It's almost like development > stars. ?

Why do people think that being drafted means you're any good? Most draft picks are garbage players who arent worthy of being drafted.

It's actually about a 50-50 shot for each and every pick in every round. About half of all drafted players end up being contributers for their team. Not being drafted means people think you suck. As a rule of thumb....just go ahead and always remember that being drafted by one of the big 3 American professional sports leagues pretty much means you're amazing at whatever you play.

As someone who watched Mullen for years in recruiting, I wouldn't worry. Mullen was much better at flipping croots in the end than holding on to high ranked ones early
