If I were Chris Jones I'd take a visit to Hawaii, Maine, Miami, UNLV. Why not have some free fun?

See how weird that sounds?

So, you link an SBNation Article to prove a point that DeadSpin isn't respectable news source. Holy fricking shite.

Chris Jones

He expects Alabama defensive line coach Chris Rumph to visit with him at school today. Jones is fresh off an official visit to Starkville and may go to any of the other three this weekend.

I’m thinking about it, Auburn or Alabama,” Jones said. “I haven’t just decided on it. I’m still not sure.”

Yeah you can see 7-6 winning championships? Come on now! I see ole miss with around the same record this year at best. Not gonna beat: Texas, LSU, Alabama, A&M for sure and may not beat Vanderbilt. The defense will be pretty good but Bo Wallace is not a elite SEC quarterback. And you can't count the egg bowl as a lock win either. Not saying I'm blowing state up for a great season but realistically both teams will finish about 1 or 2 game difference with their records at the end of the season.

If I was Chris Jones, I would flip with the quickness. It's obvious which team is content winning 7 or 8 games and which team is thinking about bigger things. Like actual championships.

Yes. State doesn't want to do any better than 7 or 8 wins and Ole Miss is going to win a championship, because they won seven games last year. It's just, well, freakin obvious, mannnnn!!

To say we have no chance against Texas and LSU is laughable. We played Texas early, before our defense found themselves, and LSU escaped at home because of a punt return TD. Those could both be wins this year. Not to mention beating Vandy. We also exchange Georgia for Mizzou. So a 9-10 win season is not out of the question.

In 1999 Oklahoma went 7-5 (and lost their bowl game to Ole Miss).

In 2000 Oklahoma went 12-0 and won the national title.

So to say that because we went 7-6 it is not possible for us to vastly improve the next year is just pure ignorance, and puppy hate.
