Makes sense!
We all let Mason Rudolph get away, so it happens. I'm pretty sure we're both getting good ones.

Not to hijack, but I have been watching this guy play for a couple of years, and he is a freak. Definitely deserved the bump. Ridiculous burst.

Still surprising to me that he was that willing to come play WR and not QB, but I guess he knows that's what his future holds.

How is Trevor taking the news of the Morris departure. For Georgia, the emergence of Fromm makes Lawrence slightly redundant compared to what Fields brings to this pro style offense.
Lawrence is a hell of an NFL prospect tho. Can't believe the state has produced the top 2 rated QBs in the class. UGA doesn't have to go out the West or Texas to recruit when the state can consistently produce em in our backyard.

I think we'll be OK, since Morris hasn't coached at Clemson since 2014. He might flip to Arkansas though, to be coached by a guy he's never met.

Pretty sure when Fields injured his finger and wasn't going to play the end of the season, that it was a forgone conclusion. Still means very little.

And I knew a Dawg would jump in with an excuse. It seemed like a big deal to y'all when Fields jumped to 1.
I think him injuring his finger is a fact, not to be debated. It's not an opinion.
Fields did not jump to #1 because Lawrence got injured. You don't see the difference?
All of thta siad, what in the world difference does it make which one is #1 and which is #2?
Lawrence is .9999
Fields is .9998
They are practically rated the same. 1/10000 of a point? That's what has everybody all up in arms?
They'll both probably do pretty good for their teams, and we will both be happy we got the guy we got. I would go so far as to say we will insist Fields is the better QB, and Clemson will insist that Lawrence is the better QB.

Pretty sure that was an argument I made, but y'all would have none of it. The fact that Fields was ranked #1 was a sure sign he was the best.
Lawrence's score didn't increase because of Fields' injury. His play on the field is why that happened. Lawrence and Fields were both .9998 last month.

I agree 100%. These are (hopefully) going to be two great ones.

Not y'all. This is the first I've said anything. But, I am sure we have some fans that are going crazy over it. I suppose there is a certain amount of prestige to signing the #1 recruit in the country, but I would rather win a Title than that.

Maybe, maybe not. If whoever scores those things felt Fields finger should give Lawrence an edge, then they might bump him to show him #1. I wonder what .00001 differs as far as yards in a year? 10?

I would think the only thing that could hold either of them back would be their supporting cast. And it would appear both will have strong supporting casts.

Don't let anybody fool you. We (Georgia fans) were pretty bummed out when Lawrence decided to go to Clemson. But, we were also thrilled when Fields decommitted from Penn State and chose us. Two totally different QB's, but both will get the job done for their school.

Probably more like 1.
As a fan of college football, I can't wait to see these two play. Exciting times for both of us.

Clemson is really putting themselves in a nice position to be a power for years to come...as is Georgia.
This is reminding me of the 1990's when the southeast dominated college football, with Florida, FSU, Miami, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Clemson, Georgia, Alabama and Miami are going to be forces in the South for quite some time. I hope.
I kind of have a bad feeling that Richt at Miami is going to be kicking arse pretty soon with the way he's bringing them in.

Signed and sealed, Congrats Clemson

There was little blurb on TCI this morning about his commitment. Said he called Dabo one day and told him he wanted to come to Clemson, and that was it. No drama afterwards.

Fields abused Lawrence at the Elite 11. Just saying.
