The jump going from consistently top 10 to consistently top 3 is like going from consistently top 30 to consistently top 15-20ish. The higher you go the harder it gets to move up. Going from good to great is very hard.

It actually wasn't.
You will be the first to slam Ohio St for playing in a weak Big 10 but then deflect when anyone says anything about UGA's schedule and say "ughhhhhh we cant help it that UT and Florida and Auburn and Clemson were bad this year bring me my night light", like Ohio St has any control over how good the entire Big 10 is, or like they realistically have an option to leave that would work for them. The ignorance is just absolutely astounding.

No shite.

Because most years, like the Clemson in the ACC and Oklahoma in the Big 12, it's a one trick show. In their 7 trips to the B10CG they've played a top 10 team twice.

I've never once said that but thanks for thinking you know me.

Just like your ignorance that OSU should/will be like Bama when Saban retires. When he's finally done in however many years things will trend back to being more balanced and teams like AM, UGA and other SEC teams will benefit from it.

Never once said that. I said OSU should be like Bama is in the SEC right now if recruiting is all that mattered. The point was that coaching, specifically an all time coach like Saban, is the difference.
I chose Ohio St because they don't compete directly with Bama for a playoff spot like UGA does (sometimes anyway, sometimes we both get in) and they have recruited at essentially the same level Bama has for a while now.
The point about A&M and Georgia was that I don't think them (or anyone else) just steps up and takes Bama's mantle when Saban retires.

Ok, maybe I misinterpreted your original post but that's not the way it came off

Amen.
When we came into the SEC we started getting good/very good signing classes....top 10 classes... and was something like 3rd in the West/4th in the SEC. It was like, frick! C'Mon, man!

Yeah who in their right mind would voluntarily go to the best college town with the most beautiful women, the best music scene, and great climate.
Every college, even the directional schools, have plenty of beautiful young ladies. The climate is about the same in most SEC towns. The music scene in Athens is mostly rock and americana. You must be really old because the majority of elite football players aren't the least bit interested in rock or americana. If they're going for the nightlife and preferred music scene theyll sign on with Georgia Tech to be in Atlanta.
But all of that is silly. The elite players go where they are most likely to compete for titles, get plenty of ESPN highlights and be a high NFL draft choice. NIL will now be a factor but all the major programs will play that game, which will be regulated by this time next year.
