He picked his home state school.. it happens. Same reason we most likely get Burch. Tarhole state that Murphy will be going juco , due to grades, anyway.

Was there ever any talk of him not qualifying when Scar thought y'all was getting him?
Not trying to troll or anything like that, just curious. I don't remember that ever coming up until recently.
Also, there's another in-state school that wants Burch. Think y'all are leading, but hopefully we can get him up to Clemson a few times before the process is over

I never heard much chatter until recently, and honestly, don’t know how much truth there is to the JUCO thing. I think this one is far from done though. Hopefully we flip him, but if not, UNC got a player.
As for Burch, I think it’s probablt 50/50 SC/Clem. He likes Clemson and mama likes S.C. from what I hear.

I agree, still a long way to go before he signs any papers. And when y'all beat UNC this year it might change his mind. Mack Brown won't be around long anyway, that should work in yalls favor
I haven't heard that info but the only info I ever get is from message boards so thanks for that info on Burch. It's weird cause Dabo usually makes the mom fall in love with Clemson. I'm sure she does love the idea of having him that close to home though.

No there wasn't talk from USC side which is why I was suprised when it was talked about on a tarheel site. All the info about juco came from unc fans.

I'm hoping the idea of playing with Breese, Capehart, Murphy and Williams is going to be too much for them to pass up. He would never have to worry about any extra attention or getting double teamed. Maybe them coming to the All In cookout will swing things a little more our way

I was talking about the class he would be coming in with, but that's a pretty solid group too.
Hopefully Clemson can convince him to come in with the number 1 class in the nation and win another national championship. We'll see
