Doubt they want to deal with it at the moment...

Don't they suffer from "blue sky" complex? My interactions with them haven't been based in reality. I am sure they believe Little will sign and they will have a top 5 class, win the west, and Kyler Murray will win the heisman.

It looks like losing Beaty and adding Chavis was a huge hit to the recruiting scene.

Beatty and Anderson were our top recruiters.

Of course Anderson was, by far, our worst assistant coach...even worse than Snyder.

The only reason he lasted more than one season is because he had Joeckel, Matthews, and Ogbuehi which he inherited from Sherman and Turner.

Look at some of the game film from last season and how extremely shitty some of our blocking schemes were, especially in the interior.

Why cant Texas Tech seem to recruit better than two or three stars? Its Texas for God sake how many 3 stars do they have 100?

No excuse for Sumlin to be doing this poorly in year 4

sure there is. They haven't finished higher than 3rd or 4th in the division. You have to produce results at some point. Same thing Tennessee will have to deal with if they don't start showing some wins.

It's pretty bad and it's just far as frick away from where most players are. There's a bunch of OOS schools that are closer or similar distances to East TX and Houston, and Lubbock is still like 5 or 6 hours from Dallas. They've always struggled to recruit

Ew that is far! Whats the closest big city to Lubbock? Its not like New Mexico is overwhelmed with talent either.

Lubbock is not that bad of a city. Its just far from pretty much everything and on an island by itself for the most part. Mike Leach really started the winning trend up there because of his Offensive prowess but wasn't much of a recruiter.(kind of a strange guy) Tuberville could recruit but the fan base never supported him and the first chance he got, Tubbs was gone.

I expect Kingsbury to be middle ground to both Tubbs and Leach

The Aggies currently have 13 committed prospects, including (based on the 247 composite) three 4 star prospects, nine 3 star prospects, and a 2 star kicker. LINK

Aggies, two questions:
1. What recruit that is currently on board is most important to this year's class; and
2. Who are a few prospects A&M feels confident that will be in this class that are not currently on board?

Current Texas College Ranks

#14 TCU
#17 Baylor
#21 Texas A&M
#28 Texas Tech (Like 20 recruits but by far the lowest average)
#46 Texas (Only 7 recruits but they have the highest Average)

Surprisingly low rankings for A&M and Texas for this point in the recruiting cycle.

Aggies have any idea why this is? I'm guessing Texas and A&M are losing their appeal to Texas recruits.

In addition, TCU and Baylor rising screwed up the recruiting pecking order as much as the Aggies going to the SEC.

Final Question

Anyone know why Texas and Oklahoma are having such problems recruiting against the SEC in Texas? FSU has less money than the both of them and there are more SEC schools in our area of the country yet we still seem to recruit well even in down years.
