If all falls to plan it will be a good looking class.
Trey Williams, RB, 4*, #56 ESPNU 150 (lol this is a crime, he needs to be higher) Army All American
Matt Davis, QB, 4*, #107 ESPNU 150
Bralon Addision, WR, 4*, #129 ESPNU 150 Army All American
Jordan Richmond, LB, 4*, #103 ESPNU 150
De'Vante Harris, CB, 4*, #144 ESPNU 150
Darion Monroe, CB, 4*
Michael Richardson, DE, 4*
Germain Ifedi, OT, 4*
Tyrone Taylor, DE, 4*
Adrian Bellard, OT, 4*
Kimo Tipoti, OT, 4*
3 Stars, JUCO:
Julian Obihoa, DE
Corey Thompson, S, (LSU visit went well, risk commit IMO)
Alonzo Williams, DE, Texas kid but playing in California, don't know what the hell he is doing
Mike Matthews, C Army All American
Sabian Holems, WR
Kenneth Marshall, S
Otis Jacobs, CB (JUCO)
There are some question marks when it comes to qualifications. From what I hear the SEC does not approve online classes? That can put some of the commits on risk to not qualify. Colin Blake has decommited, and so has Michael Wilson. Overall, a rock solid class. Thomas Johnson, WR, will probably commit to the Ags. Give me him, and keep Thompson and I'm happy...

I don't think it's the SEC, but the NCAA can certainly pitch a bitch about them. Alfy Hill got arse raped over an online class or two.
Have you guys noticed a pro-SEC bump to your recruitment or heard any positive talk from the recruits about the conference switch? Nice class btw.

Trey Williams dropped that far? Wtff
Guess his skills dropped from one evaluation to another.
Why I hate recruiting services sometimes. That is a crime.

You have no idea! The ring leader of this class is Matt Davis, and the class calls itself the AggSwagg Movement. Matt, Trey, Bralon, Richardson, De'Vante Harris, and Monroe are so pumped to play in the SEC. They want the competition. They want to play in Baton Rouge. They want to play in Tuscaloosa. Playing with the best will make them better and they know that. All the recruits think that going to the SEC is a good move. They want to compete at the highest level.
I think with the state of Texas now being SEC country, and with A&M having some success on the field, recruiting will keep improving. I'm glad Mike Sherman is gone, but he did elevate recruiting here. Sumlin, however, is all a bout the SEC and talks about how excited he is openly, something that Mike Sherman never talked about.
A&M will have its struggles early on. We need play makers on defense, especially defensive line. The offensive talent is there. Look who we have coming in on that side of the ball. Win 7-8 wins and I'l be happy. Recruits know that obviously we won't win 10 games off the bat, but they want the competition, and they know that we have potential.

Why are you using ESPN rankings?
Posted on 1/22/12 at 7:21 pm to Palooza11
247 and ESPN have your team ranked about the same (11 and 12 respectively), but 247 has Trey as a 5* and just a much better assessment of your incoming talent.

EsipN proves themselves irrelevant with their placement of Trey Williams.

Our class looks even better when using Rivals. For instance, Trey Williams is a 5 star on there (as he should be). Unbelievable class though for us, will be right around the top 10 on Rivals and really big considering the season we had on the field

Alonzo Williams is from Abbeville, LA. Not Texas

I disagree. Recruits have pretty big egos and pretty large goals that they must believe in to be able to accomplish. I bet every player on A&M's team believes it is possible to be SEF West champs next year.
Odds are highly against it. But that's not the point

Rumored that LSU may be going after Darion Monroe per ESPN

Darian Monroe I assume? He will commit on the spot if you and we really need him so I hope you don't

According to ESPN he visited Utah this weekend and is visiting Tulane next weekend.

-_-
Losing Colin Blake to TCU, and Darion Monroe, and Corey Thompson to LSU?
Got damn it Swamp Cats, I regret posting this thread dog. Our DB recruiting would take an enormous hit, obviously.
