This past fall as a transfer sophomore he played in all 13 games with 26 receptions for 362 yards. He scored touchdowns on catches against Georgia Tech and Miami. He rushed six times for 25 yards, returned 26 punts for 117 yards, and handled kickoff returns only in the Holiday Bowl against Southern Cal with 88 yards on four runbacks. As a 2022 prep prospect he held offers from Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Southern Cal, Notre Dame, Stanford, Florida, Miami, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Minnesota, Tennessee, Penn State, and many more. He instead signed with Jackson State and then-Coach Deion Sanders, where he was SWAC Freshman of the year in 2022.
