Scout article that came out this morning sounds like he won't be making any decisions until he takes all 5 official visits after the season. Says he went to Clemson for the Ball State game and has only been to Ole Miss once? Also says that he hasn't been talking with any coaches other than Clemson even though Bama, UF, LSU, and OM are still recruiting him hard. I would link but you have to subscribe so it would be useless.

Yeah I understand that, I jus don't agree with the whole verbal commitment thing when it comes down to is. Regardless of who it is. It's stupid to A: wrench that commitment out of a kid as a coach and B: for the kid to commit to you and the decide that their "verbal commitment" didn't mean all that much. How tall are the two of them respectively? His brother looks way taller but I'm assuming a lot of that is the cleats on the locker room floor.

They need an early signing period for football like they have in basketball. That would cut a shitload of this drama out.

This. Zero fricks should be given. That being said, if this kid really wants to go high in the draft in 3 years he needs to have signed with Alabama yesterday.

Why does he need to sign with Bama? We have produced a first round DL in the last few years. It wouldn't be any different except he wouldn't have to compete for a starting job here and we would at Bama.

That "sound" article said the only game he's come to OM was OM vs UCLA

I read she is telling her son it would make things easier for everyone if they played together, but she will deal with whatever decision Robert makes.

Sounds like Denzel made the decision for him.

If he's good enough he can go high in the draft anywhere.

You act as if Ole Miss hasn't had first round draft picks, as if Eli Manning, Patrick Willis, Chris Spencer, Peria Jerry, and Michael Oher all weren't recently in Oxford.

The only thing I hate about all of this is that if he does sign with Ole Miss, all we will hear is how his momma forced him to come, etc, etc...

I believe the #1 thing that will make the difference is the emergence of Denzel as a leader at OM. IMO anyway.

First of all, when it comes to recruiting, it doesn't matter how you got em just whether you get em or not. If he signs with Clemson they shouldn't be worried about people saying it was a package deal, and if he signs with Ole Miss they shouldn't be worried about people saying it was because his mom forced him there. You get the player, that's all that matters.

Having said that, Nkemdiche has numerous times stated he loves Clemson and wants to go there but his mom is forcing him to Ole Miss. Don't be a homer and think otherwise.

You aren't going to produce many 1st round DL's with the offense you run. No offense, it's a product of the scheme, not that it is a bad scheme because it isn't.

ETA: Also, I wasn't saying he couldn't go in the first round at OM I was just stating that it would be more probable for him to do so at Bama. I don't think anyone can really argue that.

1. I have already put it out there that I hope you get him, his mom seems like a class act too. If you want to complain about us posting in the thread then move it to the OM board.
2. I'm ok closing with Cox/Shump/Rumph and a Brewster surprise.

This makes no sense. When the offense runs a high tempo offense that puts the defense on the field more which means they play more total plays which means they can have more tackles, sacks, INT, etc
