It was a shite play
And that's all you need to say, it was a dirty play by Lecounte to block him that far out of bounds long after Smith had given up. Again, that's an easy way to get someone hurt.

Y'all are acting like he shot someone. He shoved a dude into a bench. The horror.
And if Smith would have been injured by that? It was a stupid move, and I am surprised that UGA fans are defending it.
What a kid does in practice shows a lot about his character. Looks like the thUGA culture will continue.

Sure, but all this "send him home, he's a thug" talk is absurd.

A 5* WR beats a projected safety playing out of position, so he proceeds to talk shite and get his arse handed to him? Now Lecounte is the bad guy? I thought the sensitive society was left in 2016, but apparently not.

Is every player that commits an unnecessary roughness penalty a thug?

Would you have been surprised if they did send him home if Smith ended with an injury from being shoved into a metal bench 15 yards out of bounds?

Lecounte would frick Stewart up too
Your little 17 year old would get fricking waxed by a 21 year old grown man who has been in the SEC for 3 years. Also Stewart is probably the most physical WR in the SEC and top 5 in the country.

Smith had been burning him all day. Lecounte not being able to control himself retaliated issuing a cheap shot by blocking him 10-15 yards out of bounds and into a metal bench.
Wonder why only UGA fans are defending Lecounte here? Maybe blocking people well out of bounds well after a play is over and shoving them into a bench is considered dirty by just about everyone? But hey, Smith was "talking shite" so that makes it a-ok. God forbid football players talk trash, never seen that before.

Did you even watch the video? LeCounte let up before they got to the track but Smith lost control once he hit the track and then flipped over the bench.
WTF were you watching? That was not what happened at all. Where do LeCounte's feet stop? Right in front of the bench. LINK

Depends on how violent the shove was. The video in the OP isn't actually that violent or forceful.
Again, 15 yard penalty.

Stop being so sensitive

So if Smith lands wrong tears a acl you would be cool with it?

Doesnt depend on that at all, he shoved him into a bench 15 yards out of bounds. That's dirty.

Speaking for myself, I'm not "cool with it." I'm just clearly not as upset by it as some are.

Which is why I said it was a penalty. Watching that video though, I wouldn't say it's an attempt to injure.

This coming from the school that took in the woman beater that we dismissed. And gave a free pass to 2 punks in a public park with drugs and guns.
GTFO with the holier than thou attitude.

If you were moon and were made of cheese, would you eat yourself?
He took a play too far and would have gotten penalized. Everyone is so fricking soft these days. If cameras were watching every single play of practice for every one of our programs, this wouldn't even register.

99.9% of injuries in football dont result from intent to injure, doesn't define a dirty play or not though. Many dirty plays, in fact probably most all dirty plays, result from being frustrated in some way and taking something too far.
