Shut that shite up, no you wouldn't.
The dude was talking shite....whether he beat Lecount or what doesn't matter.
Talk shite...better at least have the leg strength to not get man handled into the bench.
This is football not track and field
Some of you act like this was unprovoked.

So if Alabama plays uga in the seccg, all we need to do is put a trash talking WR on Lecounte and we can bank on some extra penalty yards.
I would be embarrassed if an Alabama commit did that.
Cowan has been running his bucket mouth all recruiting season and you aren't embarrassed by it? Double standard much?

Well, thankfully it wasn't in an actual game.
It was just a practice session and now Richard knows, when the season comes around, just to shove the offensive player as he's going out rather than sitting him down on the bench.

I have nothing to be salty about. Florida has their share of elite DBs on campus and in this class. When I see a dirty play, I call it like it see it. That was a piece of shite play by a kid that was frustrated he was getting burnt all day. It's not about having the leg strength as a wide receiver, it's about expecting your peers to understand that this is an all star game and pulling up when you're out of bounds instead of committing what would've been a 15 yard penalty and resulted in an all out brawl if it were to happen in college. It was simply a shitty play by that kid and I wouldn't have been mad if he would've gotten sent home. And I think most every non UGA fan would agree.

This feels like much ado about nothing. It was a competitive practice. Each player anticipates playing against the other for 3-4 years. Both are trying to get an edge - one through trash talk and abusing the CB, the other through physicality.
Bama is likely the team to beat for Smith, and my thought is, he should have dropped his hips, widened his base, and put and end to what the DB was doing. He can't rely solely on quickness in college. He needs to be more physical himself. I kinda like the level of fight the CB has in him, but he does need to have an "on to the next play" mentality instead of letting an opponent get in his head like that. The whole scenario doesn't look great for either player.

I certainly wouldn't be making a thread bragging about it, or show up in said thread trying to defend the indefensible.

People are really overreacting about this. Smith was running his mouth saying UGA was soft at a game with 10 UGA commits, I'd be more upset if one of our guys didn't put him in his place. Also, acting like because he wanted to prove a point in a meaningless high school all-star game means he's going to be getting 15 yard penalties every game is ignorant and shows that a lot of people in here don't know anything about LeCounte.

I agree that starting a thread about it is really pretty pathetic and trashy. I disagree, however, that you wouldn't start one. I think this is exactly the kind of thing you would do.

Meh. We only know what he shows us about himself, and right now the impression most non-uga fans have is that he is a tPOS. He could have injured Smith. Would all of the UGA fans come to his rescue then?
I visit other boards that have no dog in this fight, and all of their posters think LeCounte is a thug. He's now earned that reputation, and it is up to him to change that.

How many times has Cowan thrown somebody into he bench, 15 yards off the field, when the other player was letting up b/c the play was over?

Please tell us about him then because all we have seen is him putting another player at risk to "put him in his place"

He's a 17 year old kid. You don't think they were jawing back and forth? And you continue to comment on a 15 yard penalty. Its practice. We are talking about practice. I was not there I don't know what DS and RL were saying to each other before the play. But I do know that this isn't bad enough for a kid to be sent home. Remember these are kids after all.

Did you even watch the video? LeCounte let up before they got to the track but Smith lost control once he hit the track and then flipped over the bench.

Y'all are acting like he shot someone. He shoved a dude into a bench. The horror.
15 yard penalty in a game. That's it.

Lecounte wont do some stupid shite like that when he's going against guys like ArDarius Stewart who will frick his arse up next year.
Call me crazy, but I imagine he won't do that against anybody when it's in an actual game with actual flags.
