I'm happy with him too. Not like we wouldn't have room for both and then some at the rate were losing people. There never seemed to be mutual interest, whether it be from our side or his side with Peters. Well you just answered your question. Most guys commit to coaches more so than the school. Hell, Dooley knows his arse won't be there for the next 2 to 4 years.
Also, the vols right now are straight up dick soup. He can come to UA and compete for a national title right away. Not saying we will since we have to get the bama monkey off our our back and beat probably the best team in the country in LSU. But we can compete for one and Tennessee is just trying to make a bowl game.

Maybe the kid was recruited by Willy way back when...
IDK, I thought it was strange, too, that he even had a Razorback hat at the table. He didn't have a committable offer from us.

Did he have a committable offer before you switched coaches? That would probably explain it. We had been told it was pretty much us and Baylor, so they probably put the other two hats out there for the sake of TV.

I think he lost his offer when Deatrich Wise committed. That also was around the same time Willy was let go.

Ah, okay. Who knows, it was a little strange though. He also faked a move to the Baylor cap before picking ours. He'll be big enough to play both inside and outside, so at worst he'll be solid depth on the D Line, which we need plenty of now. If y'all close with Peters and the other big names that will be quite the haul
