I've only casually followed Georgia's class this year, and I know we're going to sign one of our best classes ever. Outside of that, I haven't been paying much attention.

Here is how the SEC currently ranks according to 247Sports:

1. Alabama (25 commitments)
3. Georgia (23 commitments)
7. LSU (20 commitments)
8. Auburn (20 commitments)
9. Texas A&M (26 commitments)
11. Tennessee (28 commitments)
20. South Carolina (22 commitments)
23. Florida (15 commitments)
24. Kentucky (23 commitments)
27. Mississippi State (20 commitments)
28. Arkansas (22 commitments)
38. Missouri (22 commitments)
52. Ole Miss (14 commitments)
60. Vanderbilt (15 commitments)

Where will each of these teams end up when everything is all said and done? How many will each team sign this year?

It appears that Bama and Georgia will be at the top, but both LSU and Auburn appear to have some room left to fill out their class and move up close to the Top 5 as well.

Anyone care to give me a run down since I'm just now deciding to pay attention?

With 7 more spots I can see LSU being in the top 5

Auburn will finish in the 10-15 range. Probably sign 23-24.

Okay... after studying up for a couple hours to get up to speed, here is where I see each class shaking out:

1. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. LSU (up 3 spots from current ranking)
9. Auburn (down 1 spot from current ranking)
11. Florida (up 12 spots from current ranking)
12. Texas A&M (down 3 spots from current ranking)
18. Tennessee (down 7 spots from current ranking)

I would bet all these teams are within 1-2 spots of those projections.

It seems like Alabama, LSU, Georgia, and Auburn have consistently recruited the best since the end of Florida's dominant days under Urban Meyer. Florida, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Tennessee have all had one or two great classes to join that group, but without a doubt there are four programs consistently recruiting the best talent in the SEC from year-to-year... and it appears once again those 4 will land the Top 4 classes in the league.

Florida is super volatile- we either end up on the fringes of the top 10 (say 8-12) or crash and burn outside of the top 15.
