State of Missouri has enough kids to build solid cores every year to then be supplemented around the SEC with the secondary kids that home state schools don't offer (Texas, Georgia, Florida, etc).

Yeah but, Drink is doing even better than that. His out of state kids are not “secondary kids” that didn’t get offers. If anything, it’s still the in state recruiting that’s lagging. It’s way better than Odom was doing but we are still a long ways away from locking down the state

Secondary kids meaning kids that weren't the top of the line 5-star kids
Sam Horn is a very solid QB from Georgia who was not recruited by Georgia because they signed a 5-star kid from Georgia - but was recruited by Florida and Florida State and is a Top 100 player and Top 10 national QB. Prime example of what I mean. You can sign consistent Top 15 classes if you can recruit like that. There are more than enough kids in Texas/Georgia/Florida to go around, but you have to beat out the other out of state programs.

Yep! Missouri found the right HC that can recruit and coach. Also Drinkwitz does know how to get good recruits to commit to Mizzou and help them with NIL. Some HCs are not good at helping with the NIL.

Look, celebrate even the small things. A class ranking in July.. Be happy. South Carolina was 75th in those rankings just 4 months ago and is now sitting at 16. Idgaf what month it is. I'm celebrating that shite.
When Missouri couldn't recruit 4 4* or more in a season and the total average * rating in the SEC put Missouri at 13 of 14 in the SEC. That is huge jump with what Drinkwitz is doing right now in recruiting. Drinkwitz was an odd hired to begin with. This was an unusual hired and that is what Missouri needed to do to break that cycle of hiring a HC that can't recruit plenty of good players from in-State and out of State yearly.
