I don't see how a kid jumps from NR to top 40 player in the country without influence.

Chris Jones being a 6'6" 250lb freak athlete may have something to do with it.

So Jeremy Liggins? Why wasn't he a top 40 player. He's bigger, faster, and more athletic than Chris and held offers from LSU and Bama

Did he have better senior year stats than RN at DE? Roughly double the stats if you want to line them up and compare to this date in the season.

Robert Nkemdiche backed up his stellar sophomore year (53 tackles, 23 for loss, 18 sacks) with an outstanding junior campaign. The 6-foot 5, 275-pounder was a terror on both sides of the ball. He finished the season with 93 tackles, including 25 for loss and 18 sacks despite facing double and triple teams every game. On the offensive side of the ball, he rushed for 528 yards and 17 touchdowns, including one TD in the state championship game (which his team won). Nkemdiche was also named a First Team All-American by ESPN as well as an Underclass All-American. With his size, strength (benches 340lbs, squats 500lbs, power cleans 340lbs) and speed (4.6 second 40-yard dash)...it's quite clear Robert Nkemdiche is a force to be reckoned with!!! Below is an article written about Robert from April of 2011.

Are you implying that RN got worse? I know you aren't this stupid

He was playing out of position an didn't have a true position that the recruiting guys saw him at.

Does that not make him more valuable? Chris can play one position, JL can play multiple and play whatever position that we need him to play. More versatile isn't better?

I'm not implying shite I showed you his stats, you tell me if you are impressed.

58 tackles, 24 hurries, 4 sacks - RN
117 tackles, 38 hurries, 11 sacks - CJ

I'm not even saying that CJ is better, as the stats would suggest, I'm just attempting to demonstrate why his ranking is justifiable.

Pretty sure AJ Jefferersons stats were jus as impressive. There are 100's of kids with stats like those. Stats doesn't mean shite and scout service do not rank kids based on stats or Kailo wouldn't be a 4 star

So his freakish stats and gameplay don't get your approval. Him being 6'6, 270, and quick doesn't get it either. What exactly are you looking for in a recruit to prove his worth? Or are you just trying to say that since he is committed to State he can't be a good athlete? There is a LB in Alabama who went from NR yesterday to a 4 star today, go tell Saban how he isn't worth the offer they are about to give him because he hasn't been getting publicity for 2 years.

Uhhh Saban doesn't just give scholorships out to projects, no one questions anyone committed to Saban. If this kid is a top 40 player I just don't understand why other coaches aren't going after him. And please don't give a Bundy answer like "he shut down his crootin cause he all dawg"

You may not want that answer but the kid has been to every state home game and is a life long homer. Shocking I know, but not everyone wants to get the spotlight on him over recruitment. You really think he would have an invite to an All American game if he wasn't for real?

I never said anything about him going from NR to 4 star. I think if you have all the tools and a high ceiling then you should be considered a four star. He's raw but the talent is there. My issue is the top 40 rating. That isn't for high ceiling guys, that's for SEC ready to come in and start. I just don't believe he's that level but I'm not expert

yeah, WIO, he deserved to be a top recruit because of positions where no one got to see him. Will you shut up with this no sense making dribble? What are you trying to accomplish here? Jones had little exposure, was offered very early, and got evaluated by four non-biased scouts. He jumped everytime someone saw him. It's pretty simple.
