Are we really going to take rumored silent commitments as proof that he's a Bama lock? I'm not saying he won't end up at Bama but this is recruiting and signing day is a year away. I think there's plenty of time for things to change and that crazier things can happen.

From a strictly recruiting standpoint, he has visited Georgia and Alabama, but 247 has him with strongest (warmest) interest for Alabama and LSU.
OK, from reading this I understand he's prob went to UGA because of the home state thing, and supposedly his HS coach played for Bama and all that, so I understand the Bama connection.
But what infomation did 247 base their LSU "warmest" interest in? Just wondering.
This kid is a real get for anyone. I hope we get him, but I'm still a bit baffled by a "silent commit" if NSD is over with a many others are committing. Unless he plans to attend another Junior Day at Bama, and make an announcement there. If he doesn't do it there, then at least I'm questioning the silent commit thing. There is another one coming up. Though RN was at Alabama's first Junior Day, in January.

That's our biggest recruiting weekend of the year. We typically have 4-5 commits on A-Day Weekend.

Thats when I would want him to announce, if I was Saban. We didnt need him to go public on JR day, because he got all the other commitments. A-Day would keep the mo going, and then he could go recruit for the rest of the time.

Well, it's probably best to hold all the "what ifs" until after all these Junior Days. If they don't commit by then, then we all can go back and forth on.
But I still don't know the basis of the LSU interest. historically, LSU has done very well with DL's in the NFL so maybe that is the basis. Not that Bama hasn't. When exactly is A-Day?
