FWIW, I wouldn't discount South Carolina. For all of his faults, Muschamp is still an excellent recruiter. They pulled Burch last year when most on here laughed at the thought he would go there.

I’m certainly not discounting SC. It looks like they are at least considered a lean right now. I just don’t understand the reasoning behind Wiltfong confidence level 6 is equal to 10 for the other guys. That makes no sense.

It was kind of odd for me to say don't discount SC, because i usually don't get overly concerned when we go up against SC head to head.....yet they manage to beat us every year for a big recruit or two.

Rick Sandidge
Marshawn Lloyd
Zaach Pickens
leap to my mind. I really wanted all 3 badly.

I think south Carolina lead but once we missed on the Nebraska commit they turned it up.
With him visiting and wanting to visit again, I think he will be a tiger

And he might be. Just remember that almost all the LSU fans on here insisted that Burch would be a Tiger, too. One went so far as to say, SC should let him go to LSU, because it was obvious that is where he wanted to be.

Again, I always feel LSU is in it for whoever they want, and the player very well could be headed there.....I have just learned not to sleep on SC.

I was about to come back with SC won't be going 1-4, but then I looked at their schedule. Saying it is tough would be an understatement.

In an effort to put a positive spin, Trigg might feel like he would have the opportunity for some early playing time.

Big difference is Burch lived 5 miles from S. C. campus, Trigg Fla.kid. Our numbers are really really tight, we pretty much know 24 of the 26 we plan on signing, just saying Trigg is getting full court press, with lots os assets available now.

I don't think Trigg ends up at LSU, but I don't think he is a lock to USC either.

Ours apparently are, too. I am hearing we have a lot of silents that will be early enrollees.

With Gilbert there I would have a hard time going to LSU, personally. But, most teams will rotate players so who knows?

Why are numerous "silent" UGA commitments being kept under wraps?

Honestly, I have no idea. Silent commits are something that I have never understood. A pretty well connected person has said that we have a bunch of silents and most of our class will be signed and be early enrollees.
As for silents....I don't know.

ETA

I should clarify. Our guy did not mention silents. he merely said that the "overwhelming majority" of our class would be early enrollees. I just took it to mean that we had silents.

I honestly haven’t heard Trigg wii be a Tiger, just saying coach O wants him very Bigly. Him and Derick Davis Jr. are the 2 LSU , would love to finish with, that’s assuming Foreman don’t change his mind. Wheaton wants LSU, but staff likes our commit Kiner more.

Wiltfong CB'd him to SoCal at a confidence level of 8 just minutes ago.

ETA: Obligatory "We were a college before they were a state" claim.

It looks like it's just 4 guys with medium confidence.

Yeah, but one of them is Wilfong. That's a pretty good sign.

I know that Wiltfong is historically pretty reliable, but it's still only medium confidence. It's seems like he would have put in a 7 or 8 if he had a real reason to believe this was closed to a done deal don't you think?
