But could he hit from 52 to tie a game on the road against your rival to send the game into overtime and an eventual win? Or kick the ball deep enough on kickoffs each time through the endzone and virtually eliminate having to worry about specials teams covering kicks?
Thats what GT just had with Harrison Butker and boy are we gonna miss him.
Not at all knocking Blankenship. He is pretty good for a walk on. And scholly kickers can be a risk.
Still kinda wish you guys would give him the scholly. He did win a couple games for you.

I honestly think its hilarious that 1. People actually exist that think Starkville is desireable over Tuscaloosa much less Atlanta 2. Miss state is a better program than GT or Bama and 3....nevermind forget it.
It's alright, man. Here's a kind of a strange paradox. I could live in Starkville wake-up in the morning and drive 14 miles from campus, get on a commercial flight and be in Atlanta before I could drive from Tuscaloosa to the BHM airport.

I understand the reservation of offering an unproven high schooler a kicking scholarship. He could end up not having the mental fortitude to perform in high pressure situations. But not offering a proven kid a scholarship at the risk of him transferring is just plain dumb IMO by UGA. I know he's not great, but even a mildly reliable kicker is a huge asset in today's CFB.

He visited Mississippi State then took his Official to GA Tech and told GA Tech he was solid with the Jackets. The next thing that happened was a couple of days later, he got a call from Alabama, with an invite, and Bulovas de-commited from GA Tech. You don't have to be an Engineer to be able to put these numbers together to add things up and see where things are heading in this case.

Maybe that's how it went down, but state insiders have predicted he'd de-commit after his trip to GT for a while now. I really don't know what to think at the moment; but if bama's offer is anything less than a full ride, I expect bulovas at state.

I read that GT already has another commitment from #1 kicker in Ga.

If attrition frees up a scholly under the 85 cap it can be given to a blueshirt player after the first fall practice and counted against the next class 25 cap. That may be Bama's plan for Bulovas.

Bulovas and his family told our insiders that he was going to decide Sunday night after his GT official between Tech and State and let the coaches know on Monday. He decommits on Monday from tech so we're confident he'll pick State tomorrow during his meeting with Mullen. I have a hard time believing he'll turn down a full ride to State for a maybe situation at Bama. We'll see though.

Insiders are just taking guesses to be honest. They don't truly know what the kid and his family are thinking.

Well it was a pretty good guess, no?

So kid turns down a full ride from State and Georgia Tech for a walk-on spot at Bama.
Yeah that makes tons of sense.

Blueshirt offer to immediately have the job on a team consistenly in the hunt for a Natty > a full ride at 6-7 win Miss State!

Blueshirt offer
Only Bama can make this shite up.
I follow recruiting and never before this thread have I ever heard of the term blueshirt in my life beyond a color of a shirt I own.

Yeah, as a bama fan it's makes sense. Out of state tuition for engineering at bama is $25,950 per year.

This dude is going to be a pro kicker. He doesn't give a shite about what bowl games he plays in. He wants to go somewhere he can be delovoped by an ex-NFL kicker. Out of the schools mentioned, only one can provide that.

Has Miss St had good kickers recently? I haven't noticed.
How much coaching really goes into the specialists? I've heard they mostly do their own thing during practice.

We do have a guy in the NFL. I'm not sure how though. He sucked at State.

Devon Bell is in the NFL and our soon to be Sr Kickoff guy/Punter Logan Cooke is expected to be an NFL guy
