Not angry.

Idk how many times I have to keep saying this: I do enjoy following recruiting. I do feel good when Bama lands recruits and a bit disappointed when a top target chooses another school, but I don't get upset about it. Bama isn't for everyone and I respect every player's right to choose. And I wish them all well.

The state of Alabama doesn't produce a lot of top talent, and Auburn gets some of those kids. So Bama has to recruit regionally and nationally too for top talent -- against tough competition. Naturally, Bama loses more of those recruiting battles than they win. So I'm very used to that and just don't let it upset me. As long as Bama fills their priority recruiting needs with very talented players, I'm good.

If you followed LSU recruiting and knew wtf you were talking about you’d know O was approached with interest from that area. He responded by going up there to St. Francis high school. As a result of establishing contact and relationships 2 players chose LSU. It was all reported at the time. He even stated that he was being contacted often from around the country. That LSU was a national brand and he would recruit nationwide.

As our athletic director stated O has a quality other top coaches he has known, including Saban, didn’t possess, which was his personable nature that appealed to families and players. Have you ever seen O with a bad attitude, disrespectful or not smiling? Now transition to Saban. And even you must admit O has always been a great recruiter. Probably because of that quality.

For a Bama fan to insinuate another school is cheating is somewhat ironic. Many ex-Bama players have stated they received money to play at Bama. How do you explain the proclivity of Bama recruits with Dodge Chargers and wads of cash? Bama was number 1 in recruiting for 5 straight years. Winning and Saban’s personality alone does not explain that. Winning plus Dodge Chargers and cash does.

It’s a bit presumptuous of Bama fans to think only Bama should be able to recruit nationally. You already act like only Bama can win national championships and that you will beat LSU and win the SEC forever. A reality check will hit you in the face soon enough. Sort of like the reality check Clemson provided by bludgeoning Bama before a national audience. College football history does not support your views on Bama’s infinite omnipotence.

Not completely (as demonstrated by justustm2 above) but they've slowed down a lot. What's funnier though is LSU fans complaining about other teams' fans voicing suspicions. LSU fans started hinting, even boasting, right after Scott Woodward was hired as AD that LSU would be cheating bigly in recruiting.

What do you mean? Maybe I did misunderstand you, but I don’t think I did. You said we were failing if we are cheating, right?

Yes and you replied our recruiting has been so bad.
It hasn’t, which implies you’re cheating and still not doing great.

Ok, sure.

And saying we’re failing if we’re cheating could easily apply directly to recruiting as well. For example, if Mizzou was cheating in recruiting they would be failing at it. I get now it isn’t what you meant, but it’s not a stretch to say that’s how it could come off.
