The reasons for liking bama are obvious. The best reason to not be attracted to them is lack of early playing time. Bama has missed on safety more than other positions so in comparison to other positions at bama, they are "low at safety" as he says. That doesn't mean they have worse safeties than state does. Do you really think state has out recruited bama at safety the past two seasons? Nevermind, of course you do.

I haven't given my opinion at all -- I've simply relayed his opinion. Shiny bait is shiny -- gonna hate to see you go.
No, I don't think MSU has outrecruited Bama at the position. I think it's one of our weaker positions depth-wise, especially FS after this season when Cox leaves(who Bama threw the kitchen sink at out of EMCC) -- hence why we are loading up there in this class. Feel free to start counting -- then realize we're adding 2-3 more. Peters is a strong safety -- where we've got Jay Hughes and Market coming back with alot of experience, and young guys have to be absolutely elite and mistake-free to offset older guys under Mullen -- quite often that I disagree with. Peters would play some in year 1 for us and would have every opportunity to start in year 2 -- assuming he managed to stay at SS and didn't grow into a linebacker.

Not at all.
Which part do you deny? That Peters said he thought he'd play sooner at Bama than the other schools in his top 5 -- by proxy saying the other schools had better returning safeties in his opinion?
Or that you threw the kitchen sink at trying to get Justin Cox?

So more safeties = better?
You are really stretching here, Ace.
ETA: Who is Justin Cox?

What does "number" of safeties have to do with anything?

You obviously know nothing of your own recruiting. Must've just become a Bama fan last year...

Well thats what he is talking about. Not quality.

His statement is just as large of indictment on quality as quantity -- but that would require you having common sense to understand. If he didn't think he was better than who you had coming back by a larger margin in comparison to MSU, he wouldn't think he would see the field sooner at Bama than MSU.
Good luck on Peters though. And Lewis for that matter.

Peters would be a SS, and we just got Hootie. Hootie > Peters.
Though Peters could find a role on ST and in Dime until Hootie moves on.

LSU will have no problem landing top flight DB's.

I actually agree.

I wouldn't say Hootie is just overwhelmingly better. I think he is more physical and is bigger than peters, but I think both are on the same level. I could see peters playing FS but I think Thompson is the most legit FS since Clinton Dix in recruiting.

Isn't Hootie the player last year y'all almost didn't take his commitment from? and almost ended up going to OM? or something along those lines?
