Man UGA coaches really are ahead of the recruiting game if they know that in October.
I am finally glad to see people don’t have strokes when a player gets processed or gets his offer pulled.

I think every team has a good idea who is coming and who isn't. Yes in the public most people probably don't know and think kids are deciding but most times kids are privately committed or given indications. The coaches need to know who they got so they know what else they need to recruit. Bama has been masters at this for a long time.

Well, gosh. He said it, so you know he must have heard something. I mean, he's a Mississippi State fan that has his fingers on the pulse of Georgia High School coaches.

I mean it makes sense right.

I bet the coaches of the players we drop are pissed. That’s about it.

Just speaking from the perspective of our team: I don't think it's necessarily a good thing to be processing 3 players whose commitments you accepted (assuming they processed these two and a third who people are gossiping about).
Maybe their teammates, too? Remember Pappoe?
For a coach, the only way you should accept a commitment is if that player is what you're looking for. Obviously, if a better player comes along you have an obligation to take him -- but this many players is kind of bad optics, even if they end up being negligible it doesn't look good.

Yeah they obviously have an idea. You think if Saban KNEW he wasn’t getting JJ Peterson and Quay Walker we would’ve ended up with one ILB last year? A 2* who was offered on NSD. That’s all I’m saying. Kids lie and coaches don’t know who’s coming in October.

Quay made it pretty clear he was leaving Bama. He had an announcement and he was getting CBs from all over to leave Bama. Kids like him happen but for the most amazing part schools know who is locked in and who’s entertaining offers.

You wish. Those last 2 decommits where processed for better players. Just watch

It's only two. Haselwood went on his own. Funny how nobody says anything about a kid who drops his commitment, but wants to burn down a school who does this. A kid decommits and it's it's, "Oh, well.", A school decides to move on and the school is wrong.
Kids move on all the time, and some of those are probably instigated by the school, but kept private.

Refresh our memories about how Pappoe fits in with this?

The story is this...
We got higher rated recruits that are coming in that we are going to take. The coaching staff told the kids that chances of their getting meaningful reps at Georgia decreased significantly with those newer recruits. The kids decided they would leave. That leaves Georgia the opportunity to go after other recruits, and the players time and opportunity to go somewhere they can get meaningful playing time. There has been no indication that anything else happened.
You tell me. Would it have been better for our coaching staff to keep quiet, take the recruits and let the kids sit on the bench and play on the scout team?
It's a two way street. Kids decommit sometimes. kids transfer out sometimes. but you think schools should be forced to keep kids knowing they will probably ride the bench their whole college career?

We told his teammate, who is now a Bama commit, to hold off on committing. Didn't sit well with Pappoe

Wait. We told a teammate of Pappoes to hold off....he signed with Alabama, so Pappoe signed with Auburn because we told a him to hold off on committing to us? That doesn't make sense.

In the 2018 recruiting class Georgia had 8 recruits de-commit. UGA replaced Max Wray (4star) w/ Cade Mays (5star), Elijah Moore(4star) w/ Tommy Bush (4star), Caleb Tannor (low 4star) w/ Adam Anderson (5star), Aaron Brule(low4) w/ Otis Reese(4star), Jaevon Becton(3star) w/ Brenton Cox (5star), Rachad Wildgoose Jr.(3star) w/Tyson Campbell (5star), Donovan Georges(3star) w/ Channing Tindall (5star)(Info provided by NCdawg)
So while we may here from our Rivals about how the sky is falling. We just lost a 5 star and two 4 stars and still ranked 3rd in the Nation with a ton of guys we are in on. We will be ok now and going forward.
Also, we are 6-0 and recently played for a national title. Georgia is good shape just like Dabo and Clemson.
