Well that is not good for us. Nice to see he will still come to Athens next weekend with family in tow, though.

Let the battle begin!

I get the optimism, but you really think his "early enrollee paperwork" is one sheet of paper casually tossed on top of his bag?

This is the sort of rumor that ends up on the twitter of a college newspaper reporter and spreads like wildfire.

No, that'd be his plane ticket.

But the orange folder with the big Gator logo on it is what Florida's early enrollment paperwork comes in

Haha literally every program gives out shite in those folders. Could it be that paperwork? Sure. It could also be literally any other papers.

When you have to watch Treon Harris throwing a football week in and week out we all need a weekend bender.

Or in his case, a midweek bender.

Antonio Riles went to my rival high school. Florida sends out enrollment stuff in those folders. I've seen them in person and can tell you what is in those folders.

UGA fans are in major denial

Georgia went thru this with Trent Thompson and Terry Godwin last year. Recruits visiting rivals and being caught in rivals gear with fans convinced they were seconds away from jumping ship. Knowing Jacob Eason and his family, they will listen to UGA's offer and our new OC and make their decision then. I think it truly comes down to whether they feel comfortable about the offense and how we plan to use him.

Has UGA said if they were keeping Schotty?

If Eason's OV is next weekend, what if UGA still doesn't have their OC officially named?

It's a bad look for UGA if Eason comes in on his official visit and doesn't have a head coach (because he's preparing for a playoff game at Alabama) or an Offensive Coordinator because he hasn't been named yet by the new head coach.

Kirby staying at Bama through the postseason is going to screw UGA.

As much as everyone is looking for instant gratification, this is what it will come down to.

Hey, if Florida really does have special folders for early enrollee paperwork, that makes sense. Eason would need to have it if Florida wanted a shot at him. I still think that's BS, but it doesn't change anything.

But the problem with this is what if UGA doesn't have an OC for his official visit?

And Kirby will still be at Bama through January, when Eason is going to enroll.

It just seems like his commitment to Georgia is hanging on by a thread. And Georgia not having any coaches to talk to him on his OV is going to push the Gators over the top.

I like UF's chances due to Eason's relationship with Nussmeier and Grier's success in the first year of the offense that UF would likely use with Eason.

UGA's trump card is the financial paperwork. They will have unlimited contact during the dead period.

UF will have existing relationships.

Eason is allowed to contact Florida's coaches - Even during the dead period.

Mac can't call Eason, but Eason can call Mac.

If he's as interested as everyone is reporting he is, he will certainly still be in contact with Florida's staff during the dead period.

Also, can't UGA get in trouble if he ends up signing at Florida?
