Yet here I am on the recruiting board right after the season is over. Worse than a got damn junkie, I swear.

Is McElwain a good recruiter? How's y'all's recruiting going?

He is OK, but he has actually been a step below Muschamp and way below Meyer. He closes pretty well after normally languishing out of the top 20 for most of the year. But it isn't necessarily Mac. There were plenty of recruits that Meyer missed out on for all the ones he got. It is just a ridiculous (but necessary) process and impossible to predict. So for us to be here now when so much will change prior to signing day is just funny to me. Yet here I am.

It is a necessary evil to maintain your football (or other) athletic program.
