Funny I never saw any critiques like this until after he committed

Not true if you read the LSU 247 board. And no one poo poo'd on Landon Collins as a football player after he committed to UA (we only shat on him as a person ). Again Hootie is a good prospect, but if LSU pulls Adams we come out even or ahead and losing Hootie hurts pride more than any realizable loss on the field. Hootie punched his ticket to big time CFB as a Sophomore and maybe he's just been saving himself for that, but he was underwhelming this year.

If we don't get Adams I'd be pissed about losing Hootie. A lot riding on that.

And you read that as a Bama fan who was serious about LF announcing at the Superdome?

Well Bama's DB class is setting up to be epic and no homer statement at all either if Bama can land CJ Hampton

And add CBs Humphrey, Tabor, and Brown and it is shaping up rather well for a need position

ETA: Admittedly haven't followed Adams recruitment that closely but I'd like to see him at LSU and it'd be a great pick since LSU needs S help immediately

Brown? Hope Bama is recruiting another Brown not named Tony.

IDK I remember arguing with some LSU fans calling him a bust about 3 weeks into this season. I'm sure there was some trolling involved though

That was much later after LC didn't see the field much as a freshman. I'm talking during recruiting season and how each player was viewed as a prospect. There has been talk about Hootie not living up to his billing on Geaux 247 since last year's state championship. LC was a straight up beast at Dutchtown and it was undeniable.

I read that as bama fans are retarded. But we already knew that.

Well it is Tidefans. I'm a lifelong Bama fan and I don't even occasionally visit that site but it's cool that you do.

I don't visit Tidefans either, I think more LSU fans do to talk about it actually than Bama posters on TD

I'm dead serious though that since about a week ago maybe Brown is VERY much in play for Bama

i kid as well, just messing with you.

but keep drinking the kool aid on TB buddy, sounds like it tastes delicious. A&M thought they were still in play too, kid didn't even show up this weekend. Mom got "sick." Bad track program at UA, sister at LSU, dad not in good enough shape to travel. There was really never another horse in the TB race, just a kid enjoying himself.

srsly as much emphasis as Bama places on football I'd think they would pour money into the track program just to lure in some of the dual athlete guys

Woah nelly you need to realize the tide could be turning on Brown since Saban's in-home srsly

He and Humphrey would legitimately make the T&F program a force and it is a fairly new coach

He himself has always liked Bama, it seems like one of those recruitments where a lot is assumed and no one can see the forest for the trees

Im starting to see a trend here, just know Bama is in play

lol, two guys don't make a track program a force.

TB's 247 crystal ball...49 picks for LSU, 100%. Tide is turning . Nothing is assumed, I've already laid out the facts for you.

Picks will turn closer he gets to EE date I hate Crystal ball since you can't change it and guys throw it out there too early

Saban just laid out a VERY nice pitch to Brown and his family on Wednesday

All things equal Bama would have a lead for him, Saban just is doing what he does best and making it more equal

Once again Buc u show ur ignorance of the situation. Distance plays a factor here as Beaumont is a hell of a lot closer to Baton Rougue than Tuscky.
His father is still recovering from the his stroke and Tony has said he would like to be closer so that he can still see him.
His sister is a big factor here as the family is very close and they can easily make the drive back to Texas from BR together to visit their father.
Yea Bama is a lot closer than it appears bc he's enamored with Saban but the difference in track programs weighs in his mind as LSU's is more established.
All in all... Too many factors in LSU's favor
Also: he's good friends with Ed Paris as we as Jamal Adams... More things to work in our favor
